It is more the product they disapprove of than the consumption. Showing off $50k watches would be more acceptable. Of course, she would still be demonized by then for it. It would just ring more hollow as they personally would be approving of the public display of wealth.

Do they have a problem with Doritos as a product? I got the impression their 'issue' is primarily just Harris, and Doritos is simply collateral damage. Or, maybe Doritos endorsed Harris and I missed it?

I understand & appreciate their frustrations, though. Doritos are a cornerstone in the Meal Team 6 food pyramid. Seeing a favored food item being consumed by the 'opposition' must be a traumatizing life experience.

No, don't worry it's the stupidest reason - Elizabeth Hasselback complained it's beneath the position of a world leader to be stressed and eat doritos

That is indeed a stupid reason. I wonder if she'd have received less flak for it if she was hawking Doritos like someone else pimped Goya beans from the Oval Office?

Or even Reagan's Jelly Bellies!

As the poster of the above comment I ask that you please help me find my eyeballs, they rolled out of my head.

They just like to bitch and moan about everything. What ever they see done they will support the opposite irregardless of how stupid they look. Weird ainโ€™t it?

Fuckin' weird, I tell you h-what! ๐Ÿ˜…

No, doritos are the meal team 6 pyramid.

The MAGA outrage is that Kamala binge ate after learning that Trump won in 2016. Doritos are just collateral damage in that story. Obviously a more appropriate response would have been to down a bottle of Jack Daniel's. :)

Remember the meltdown when she bought 2 nice pieces of cookware in Paris?

this is not hypothetical - https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/kamala-harris-wore-62k-necklace/

so she has to eat potatoes now

I saw an instagram post of someone demonizing Harris for wearing an expensive necklace in an ad asking for campaign donations. If the left does it, it's automatically bad.

Yeah I saw that as a Reddit post and most of the top comments were screenshots from a variety of sites selling an indistinguishable necklace of the same style/design for like, less than $100.

that's what they just said, no? engage in consumerism like a commoner, as in, eating cheap food that can be afforded by people who aren't incredibly wealthy.

The number of times I had to tune out my in laws going on about Nancy Pelosi's special refrigerator(?????) .. I honestly have no idea what the fuck they were on about except that they took the cost of the luxury as proof that she is corrupt, or something.

It really makes no difference because none of the criticisms are in good faith or particularly rational, just BS drummed up from the murky depths to villainize democrats (especially women dems) for anything and everything.

Like AOC getting roasted by the right for being a bartender. They are all for purging the swamp of Washington elites until a non-elite shows up with a platform they hate.

It never makes any sense and never has any consistency.
