Nope. He's a Minnesotan. Minnesotans don't fish for bass. There are 3 target species that Minnesotans will target:
Panfish: Usually when ice fishing. Talking home a bucket filled with bluegills and crappies just leads to a fish fry. Super good.
Walleye: what most people in Minnesota target. Fun to catch. Delicious.
Muskellunge: aka muskies. These are the big guys. They get big and they fight hard. You're usually waiting a while for one. There's a reason why it's called the "Fish of 10,000 casts". You cast and cast and cast. Just when you're about to give up hope on life, you don't catch anything. You become numb. You don't even know why you're still out there. You're contemplating sinking the boat for the insurance money. That's when you get one. It's such an adrenaline rush and life affirming that you begin the process all over again.
