Would you really rather have been a woman in a war-torn area??
Edit: interesting feedback for my clearly leading question. You say that you wouldn't rather be on the front line and shot at vs any of the women captured and raped as a slave? Are you just considering American women or ones in European small towns?
Did you just ask the question without knowing anything about trench warfare? Like yeah theres a risk of being captured and raped/tortured as a woman during wartime but that’s also the case for the men and the men are historically the ones being sent to die. If you aren’t conscripted, which is a near certainty as a woman, then there’s at least a greater barrier between you and the enemy than if you are sent to fight.
Are you considering what we’re saying? No? Why are you blinded by male hatred to not understand why we are saying that. I know self reflection probably isn’t your thing, but don’t move the goal posts after you pose a question….like everyone loves doing these days
I would much rather be in Canada working the factories than in the trenches with the shitty guns that my military provided us that didn't work half the time because they weren't designed for the mud of the trenches.
Yeah, but OP specifically said "war-torn area" which means a place where actual fighting was taking place, not Canada.
I understand that being on the front lines was a horrific experience, and I do think there's an argument that men in the trenches had it worse overall.
But during a war, when the male soldiers decide to take out their anger at the enemy on women, the result is a massacre like My Lai. Most often, women haven't had the necessary weapons or training to defend themselves and the small children they're trying to protect.
I went out to dinner with my mom in Kingman, AZ a couple weeks ago (she just moved near the area and I was helping her get settled) and the waitress greeted us as "ladies".
I'm a 33 year old male and I hadn't shaved in like 3 days
You're not wrong. My 6'1" mother would tell me about how cruel everyone was to her growing up, including her own brother (my uncle is such a fuck). I'm so glad at 16 she met my 6'5" father who loved her for who she is. They've been married almost 50 years now.
As a six foot tall woman your mom got so lucky!!! I support romantic/sexual (consensual) preference but it kinda kills me when I see a super tall dude with a super short lady. I have dated men shorter than me but it just doesn’t feel the same. I know this is a me problem but when (straight) couples have big height difference like that:
Edit: I’m not implying above average height equals masculinity. I was replying to strictly the comment above
Even Margot Robbie's been accused of being trans. So no one should take any of these accusations personally. Even one of the most beautiful woman has been targetted by this.
True, but also, most of the world's prettiest women have some features that look a bit trans, and Margot Robbie is no exception. Most notably, her jaw. The fact that it's rare and androgynous is what makes it striking & desirable given the rest of her looks very feminine already.
I don't think people realize that a lot of transsex women legitimately struggle with the question "would you rather look hot and clocky, or plain and cis looking." The trouble with looking too hot is it draws attention, and the more attention one receives the more likely one is to be clocked.
Many feminizing surgeries and procedures are designed to go from "hot and clocky" to "plain and cis looking" in order to blend in better. If Margot Robbie were a transsex woman just trying to fit in, maybe she would spend $10-$100K+ trying to undo the very features that people consider so attractive.
It's directly on-topic with the comment I replied to and is an anectode that accurately reflects my experience with subject. I'm not sure what you find so weird about it. Your off-topic waste of a comment was maybe more weird, wasn't it?
A couple months ago I was in line at McDonald's and I hadn't shaved (I have PCOS) for a while because I just get sick of it. A boomer aged couple was walking past me to leave and the man said loudly 2 feet away "that has to be a man" and the woman said "hush", then they walked away fast. I know this is the tamest shit but it freaked me out
I've kept my shaving up now, I don't want to be their next target. I hate that this is happening and I'm scared for others and myself of what could happen, how worse it could get so quickly. There truly has never been a good time.
I'm really sorry that happened to you. They had no right to make you feel unsafe and targeted just for existing in public.
I've often thought that if all women stopped taking such lengths to hide their facial hair, a lot of people would have their ideas of gender binaries challenged.
I understand that women who have PCOS struggle with more growth than the rest of us, and I don't mean any disrespect. I'm just saying, overall there's a very large percentage of the female population who are hiding light mustaches, unibrows, soul patches, etc.
I don't think most men have any clue about the extent to which women are hiding this, and I wonder sometimes how our culture might change if every woman simultaneously decided to stop.
I agree a million percent!! I was 14 when I realized I needed to start to shave/bleach my face, my brother would point out my very few dark, long hairs and call me a boy/man. My mom gave me disposable girly razors when I started having to shave my legs and pits, so I started using those on my face as well, it became such a chore having to shave more parts of my body just to feel accepted and not be a target! Like wtf. I wish women didn't have such a stigma of always having to be hairless and smooth, we aren't!! We are hairy naturally! If I wasn't supposed to have it then why does it grow there?
I can't figure out for the life of me what having pcos has to do with you not shaving... Lol. Cramps during shaving so you can't shave? I don't get it..
What do you think PCOS stand for? Polycystic ovary syndrome does cause menstrual pain but another well known (if not more known) symptom is excess body hair, like on the face for instance.
Excuse my ignorance, I never knew that. I went through the diagnosis and many years after that with my ex. She didn't have the hair issue. She had hardcore cysts on her overies tho, which based on the name and what I read/was told, I thought was pretty the main symptom.

As a woman with masculine features myself, there's never been a good time.
