The trolls who say she (and weight lifters, hammer throwers, etc) are unhealthy because they have a high BMI (which is bs anyway) kill me. Yeah, they’re competing in the freakin’ Olympics and you’re in your parent’s basements.

"So yea, my BMI is 30 but you know what? I'm going to the Olympics and you're not." Ilona Maher.

Could also crush your head between her thighs... this is not a downside I'm just adding it to the list.

Her BMI is 30 because shes fucking built. BMI cant be applied to pro athletes.

Bmi can't be applied to most people. I'm a 28 but a size 10. I can do 5k in 27osh minutes and I work out 3 to 5 times a week. I'm fit. I just like food

I've always thought the overuse of BMI to determine how overweight someone is is kind of dumb specifically because it does not account for muscles. That says, I'm overweight so my BMI is an accurate indicator of that.

A lot of men only respect or care about women they personally find attractive and it really shows.

Sad but true

You can tell a lot about a man in the workplace if he, consciously or unconsciously, treats women differently based on whether he finds them "fuckable" or not.

And oddly, his respect can be directed either toward or against the ones he finds attractive. It seems like sometimes, to the super outwardly misogynistic men, being an attractive woman somehow negates her intelligence or performance capability while for others it's the opposite and they direct their poor treatment toward those they find unattractive. Can't win with these types.

Not every man conducts himself like this, of course, but the ones who do are SO transparent.

Except these types of men who only value women for their physical appearance, don't really respect them.

Hey, a 300 lb neckless "family values" republican is clearly in prime physical condition compared to some woman that can literally run miles and lift hundred of pounds every single day.

And will actively seek out contact to absolutely wreck people while carrying

As a 5'11" guy that weighs 300 pounds and can easily put in a solid 8 hours of carpentry every day, I can confidently confirm BMI is a crock of shite. They can call me obese all they want, doesn't change the fact my calves are 19 inches of solid muscle.

Dwayne the Rock Johnson has a high BMI.

It's a bullshit metric with shoddy science behind it that has even been lowered thanks to Weightwatchers trying to peddle their product to healthy people and using money to influence the medical community.

It's a dumb argument by dumb people.

Exactly, BMI isn't that useful on a personal level in the first place, and it's only useful if you have low muscle mass, which Rugby players obviously don't.

I see this a lot in weightlifting. People assume powerlifters are out of shape (they're not the most svelte athletes) and bodybuilders must be super-strong and it just doesn't work like that.

100% trolls can go eat bokashi. BMI is a bull sheeeeet measurement that only worked in the 1900’s. That measurement has had a lasting impact on me personally from docs to bullies until I got a BFA measurement going into college football. Night and day difference knowing what I was actually vs the arbitrary label. Still don’t understand why they use that on kids today.
