Photo or Video Ducks gender!

Are these certainly both male? The smaller one sounds way more raspy so i was really hoping the large one was possibly female

Yep, the ladies are loud. I can hear mine inside the house sometimes when they are really chatty about duck stuff.

Edit: the boys are just standing, wishing they could have a moment of silence.

Both sound like drakes, but wait for their moult and check for the sex feather

Yeah, they’re both boys. Girls would have loud, defined quacks by now.

Sorry, but it sounds like you have a pair of handsome drakes.

Males make a soft raspy “wap-wap“ sound. Females make the classic loud “Quack-QUACK” sound. All the neighbours could hear our female ducks easily.
