I’m more pissed off that he let that sticky honey drip down his chin, ughghgghghg it bothers me so much

u/very_clean Mar 15 '21
With you on that - I’ve seen this posted before and i can’t think of another video that both pisses me off and disgusts me at a more visceral level

u/nm1043 Mar 15 '21
There was a recent post to /r/oddlyunsatisfying that was a guy in a pretty gross house going up to a dog bowl full of wet food and squelching it in his hand... Picking it up off the floor.
I fucking hated it.

u/very_clean Mar 15 '21
Oh that sounds awful....
immediately starts looking for the video

u/nm1043 Mar 15 '21
I blocked the person after they sent me a really angry message lol, but it's here if it hasn't been deleted yet
15
u/Jarl_of_Ireland Mar 15 '21
Looks like the user has nuked the account
11
u/nm1043 Mar 15 '21
Yeah I blocked them, but couldn't find the message after the fact so I guess it gets deleted when they are blocked? Who knows
5
u/Jarl_of_Ireland Mar 15 '21
They looked to be having a meltdown from the comments I read, but seem to have deleted the account. Which is kind of good as I know I would have regretted seeing it!

u/Stunfield Mar 15 '21
The sub doesn’t fit it’s purpose, because of the low amount of posts and low quality, which makes it a oddly unsatisfying sub which fits its purpose.
I’m annoyed.

u/Dramatic_Explosion Mar 15 '21
That's what impatience got him, made a mess of himself and got stung in his mouth. Maybe next time he'll remember that pain and slow the fuck down

That dude has a tiktok account full of videos of him wolfing down honeycombs. It’s disturbing to say the least.

Mar 15 '21
If you hadn't rad the manga, don't let the manga readers tell you spoilers.
13
u/PokeKillian Mar 15 '21
It's pretty much impossible to avoid aot spoilers now so I'm just trying to finish it quick
7
u/QuestioningEspecialy Mar 15 '21
Avoid all friends, delete social media, etc.
edit: It's a hell of a ride, though. I stopped one volume into the last season and was saving my finances when BookWalker had them on sale. :|
2
u/PokeKillian Mar 15 '21
Only like 2 of my friends have seen it anyway so that's fine and I don't even really use any social media apart from reddit
2
3
u/Anonymoose207 Mar 15 '21
Legit, and if you watch on crunchyroll you get ads for season 4 which blatantly spoil parts. I was also pretty surprised how it seemed to me like the season 2 opening kinda spoils stuff, or at least shows stuff to come that happens after that season
I watched season 1 when it came out and because season 2 was delayed so much I kinda forgot about it till more recently. Was going to wait till all of season 4 was out to binge it but the threat of spoilers has made me start again so I'm on season 3 part 1
1
u/PokeKillian Mar 15 '21
Damn that's insane. I'm not watching it on crunchyroll but I do remember people saying that sasageyo spoilt a lot of stuff from seasons after that
2
u/Anonymoose207 Mar 15 '21
It definitely does. I mean, I guess it was obviously intentional, not like they could do it by accident but it's hoesntly just bizarre.
I'd reccomend you skip the second opening honestly. Personally I'd rather have not seen that opening for sure, I feel like it's totally going to have lessened the impact of when it's actually revealed. Season 3 part ones opening doesn't spoil anything though, it's like they got the openings the wrong way round
1
u/PokeKillian Mar 15 '21
I'll probably just look away while the opening is playing lol. I've already heard sasageyo a few times and I don't think I wanna skip it. But I'll definitely make sure not to accidentally look and have something spoilt for me
3
u/DarkOmen597 Mar 15 '21
You are in for an amazing adventure. I wish I could re watch that series again blindly.
Try your beat to avoid spoilers.
I went in completely blind to everything and it was just an amazing ride.
Enjoy!
1
u/PokeKillian Mar 15 '21
So far I've almost finished season 1 and oh boy it's as good as everyone says it is. Avoiding spoilers is definitely the hard part tho lol especially since season 4 is still airing but I think I'll be able to catch up soon enough to hopefully avoid major spoilers.
2
u/PenguinFeet420 Mar 16 '21 edited Mar 16 '21
Worst platforms for spoilers is twitter and instagram, avoid anything related to aot completely and NEVER look anything up because you 100% guaranteed a spoiler. I had to switch from an anime only to a manga reader because I kept getting spoilt so much :')
And also, for some reason people make up fake spoilers? I've seen people comment things saying it happens when it hasn't/won't
Also avoid r/shingekinokyojin and r/titanfolk (and tbh any aot subreddit), lots of posts about the manga and they're ruthless in posting spoilers 🥴
2
u/PokeKillian Mar 16 '21
I've never used Twitter or Instagram so I'm good for that and I don't ever join any subreddit before completely finishing a show so hopefully I'll be fine. The anime is gonna end really soon tho right? So maybe I'll just finish the anime and not read the manga but I'm not so sure
2
u/PenguinFeet420 Mar 16 '21
It'll be about a year before the anime is completely finished, part 1 of season 4 is about to be complete and then part 2 will be released in a years time I think. You're better off reading the manga in that time if I'm honest, it is really good.
1
u/PokeKillian Mar 16 '21
Oh shoot I thought the season currently airing was gonna stop in a few weeks and that'd be it but maybe I'll read the manga after catching up if that's the case

That’s what you get for eating honey hive like an asshole
0
u/CJ_Bug Mar 16 '21
Does that really make him an asshole? I doubt he's a rando who just ripped a hive apart or something, honeycomb is sold by beekeepers pretty often since hives are usually built of many layers and the bees won't really have trouble rebuilding one small corner of one layer, he probably just bought it fresh and he's still near the hives
0
u/3billionyearsold Mar 17 '21
Wasting honey and killing a bee because he wants to eat honey like an asshole. Yea pretty assholey.
1
u/CJ_Bug Mar 17 '21
It's...a drop of honey. We'll live, the bee is the only real bad thing here and that's assuming he did it on purpose, though that part is still unrelated to eating honeycomb in general
0
u/3billionyearsold Mar 17 '21
You’re an asshole too

I just watched a tv show where someone died this way, and it turns out a friend of my mother's died the same way. No allergies, just the swelling from the sting in just the wrong place closing off the airway. Scary.

u/el_poopie Mar 15 '21
I didn’t know that you just eat the whole ass honeycomb
7
u/ClearBrightLight Mar 16 '21
You can! It's delicious, but hella rich -- I don't think I could stomach this much even without the bee. Also, at the end, you're left chewing on a wad of honey-flavored wax, which isn't all that nice, so swallow early, if that makes sense.
Or, better yet, spread it on toast. I found a recipe that was garlic toast, a rich soft cheese like camembert or brie, honeycomb, and fig jam. It was to die for, seriously -- the most high-class snack I'd ever made.

What does a honey Comb taste like?
2
0
u/Extra-Extra Mar 15 '21
Honey probably.
4
u/drphungky Mar 15 '21
Better, usually. If it's coming from the comb it's unpasteurized and assuming whatever local nectar sources are interesting, honey straight from the comb is really yummy.

I say this every time I see this bastard and his TikTok honey eating videos: I absolutely despise this man with every fibre of my being. It’s always the same thing, him wolfing down freshly harvested honey like he’s eating god damn samplers at a Costco.

I'm not a fan of Asians and how they eat and what they eat. If you're ever in tiktok, it's a trend in China to eat honey with bees on it.

This post isn't supposed to be in this subreddit, the man didn't need help, it was his own decision and had everything under control.
Lost redditors like you make me wanna leave the sub
Btw if there are new people that didn't know how the sub was, sort in Top posts.
You'll see how much better it was
27
u/kindofboredd Mar 15 '21
The guy filming saw the bee still on there though
-18
u/JeanDeny314 Mar 15 '21
It was scripted.

u/Chouji-Akimichi Mar 15 '21
“Quick Timmy, eat this wasp so we can get internet points! Your tongue will only be in immense pain for a while, and sure you might get stung on the roof of your mouth or throat too, and might have trouble breathing, and won’t be able to eat due to pain, but we’ll get like 10 upvotes”

u/imnotanazibelieveme Mar 15 '21
I did, this is reddit, people will hate you for your opinion.
2
u/shutupmahe Mar 15 '21
It’s hardly hating you. People also love you for your opinion, as is evidenced by a lot of post karma. I think the hatred coming towards your comment is that it was unnecessary and it was quite obvious that the ‘help’ was directed at the bee, not the guy. The hate is likely also directed at the obnoxious nature in which your comment was posed.

u/imnotanazibelieveme Mar 15 '21

Oh God, I actually know the pain of being stung on the tongue. I was eating ice cream when I was 3 or 4 years old and a bee landed on my spoon as it was entering my mouth. Worst sting pain ever and even now, 20 years later, I still can't taste or feel anything on the tip of my tongue.
