Not sure what OP's referring to, but my family has made a habit of watching the LOTR trilogy around the Christmas Holidays. I've heard similar stuff from other families too.

For some reason at that time, I really like watching stuff about people going through difficult times, so I can go, "Well I am flunking my paper, but atleast I'm not going through such shit."

I didn't attend the semester final exam back when arcane s01 released. Almost did the same thing for s02, luckily exams date changed
