HSCI 331 Prof Valdez
Professor Valdez is honestly one of the worst professors I’ve ever had in my life. Super condescending and rude and from what I’ve heard makes students feel bad just for asking questions. Has this ridiculous rule about using laptops or iPads in class so we only can use notebooks and a pen. Assigns way too much work for a three unit lower division class and thinks way too highly of herself. I passed her class and thank god I did cause I don’t think I’d have the patience to retake her and it’s crazy how she’s the only professor for this one class that’s required for public health. Does anyone else have any negative experiences with her?

Yes lmao she was a cunt to my whole class and made me feel like I was dumb cuz english isn't my first language and I can't pronounce some words right. I agree she thinks wayyy too highly about herself and not to sound fucked up but hearing her talking about how obesity is a "health harming" behavior while being built like that was funny as shit sorry yall

I took her last spring semester, I liked her lectures but once you ask a question or ask for clarification she makes you feel so stupid 🥲 I hated asking her anything even going to her office hours it was intimidating she brushed me off when I asked her a question during her zoom office hours. She scheduled me for 30 mins & it took her no more than 30 seconds to make me feel like shit lol

She’s chill, easy work. To each their own.

Not saying the work was hard by any means just that she assigned too much. But I guess keep sucking up to someone that clearly is not well liked by many students
