BIG accomplishment I JUST DRANK ALL THE WATER FROM MY WATERBOTTLE AND IM SO PROUD.

So I got this Cirkul waterbottle for Christmas. (With two flavor thingies, I'm using one rn.) I'm 16, and ever since I was around 13, I barely drank any water. I drank SODA, and I got into a caffeine addiction cause of it.

Just recently, I got cavities, and now I am not allowed to have soda until they're fixed, but by now, I've changed a lot. I don't drink soda unless im out at a resteraunt (which we do NOT go to often. Honestly we rarely go. Plus I think I'm sticking to water now) and my parents have been trying to encourage me to drink water.

Cut to now, I was playing a game on my switch and just sipping on it alot while I played since im tryna work on something for my channel, and suddenly I realized I wasn't getting water anymore. I looked in the bottle, and I drank it all!

I'm super proud of myself right now. Also I'm sorry if this has unnesicary details I am just super excited- I'm going to refill it now as soon as I post this cause I'm still thirsty. Though my stomach hurts bad- maybe I shouldn't go from drinking no water to drinking a TON-

Really proud of myself I have lost 7 kilos in 7 months !

I am progressing very slowly but surely. I don’t even pay much attention to what I eat anymore, I just try not to overeat (though it still happens sometimes), include some vegetables, and stay active. I’ve never reached 58 kilos before! I might get some new workout gear to celebrate I was feeling a bit guilty about wanting new leggings. I also quit smoking, so it feels like everything is finally starting to fall into place.

BIG accomplishment I don't know how but I got 11k views on my new YT channel!

I'm not really someone who is often proud of myself, I find it really daunting to do things other people find super easy and i've never really had a 'thing' unlike most people. The other day I was really really board so I decided to make a youtube channel about one of my favourite topics, and I uploaded a couple of videos. The channel has been up for four days now and i'm really happy with the results so far.

This year's been kind of rough for me, And seeing this makes me feel as if people see me - which is really helpful to me and my mental health right now.

Really proud of myself I reinstated my car insurance!

Hi again,

I had posted here maybe a week ago about finally catching up on my rent. It had caused my car insurance to lapse.

Today, I paid the bill, signed paperwork, and got my car insurance back on track as if there wasn’t a gap in coverage!

It’s very minor, but the situation seems to be getting better, and I’m trying to be better.

I’m starting to see how I can handle the consequences of life, and the bad decisions I’ve made.

Thank you.

Paid rent and ready for next semester!

I know this is the bare minimum, but my boyfriend and I were able to pay rent this month with no outside help. Last month was really rough, but I focused on my freelancing and some the money to fill in the gaps of my boyfriends pay check!

I've also gotten the apartment clean, and have been doing yoga everyday since winter break started. I know I won't lose weight doing it, but my body feels alive again and I don't wake up beyond depressed (just a liiitle depressed). I know next semester will be rough (third year in college) but I think I've got my head on straight and I'll be back to making straight A's.

:D

Retired my dad on Christmas

Growing up my dad was the sole breadwinner.

We lived upper middle class for the majority of it until my mom got sick, he put 45 years of his life into a soul draining company to provide for us.

On Christmas I gave him enough to pay off his mortgage, all other debts, his car and he finally has the ability to comfortably retire at 65.

I was going to use this money towards a GT3 RS (dumb car).

This was 10x more fulfilling.

Really proud of myself One Day of No Diet Coke

I am a 58-year-old female. I normally drink 3-4 cans of Diet Coke a day. It is a bad habit leftover from working in a toxic workplace. I would drink it to stay focused and awake.

Today I did not have any.

I am hoping I can finally kick this awful habit.

Any other Diet Coke drinkers out there? I feel ya.

Got over something difficult I beat my crippling fear of alcohol!

So I was abused terribly as a small child, and I always equated the abuse with the smell of alcohol on my mother's breath. This led to a crippling fear of alcohol, as in no partying in college, wouldn't date a person who drank and very limited socialization at work. The smell of alcohol was a showstopper-sometimes leading to flashbacks and fighting to leave the situation.

I've slowly gotten better, but tonight was Christmas at my best friend and her fiancé's house. I've been dealing with a bulging disk in my back, which has led to more pain than I can generally handle. People are making drinks, and the smell registered a flat zero for me. No association. So I tried my first mixed drink (screwdriver, mixed light) which dulled the pain long enough for me to enjoy the evening.

Do I want to make a habit of it? Hell no, alcohol tastes vile. But I did it. I beat my fear finally. They could drink and it didn't affect me at all. (Only took til I was 43.)

BIG accomplishment Cleaned my apartment with help of social worker

I've struggled with executive dysfunction my whole life, especially task initiation (gotta love being ND sometimes)

I haven't cleaned my apartment (100%, I've done small cleanings) since I've moved in Nov 1st of last year

I have ezcema so I make drug lord amounts of dust (house hold dust us primarily composed of human skin cells)

Today I consolidated some stuff and took stuff out to the garbage/recycling bins 🎉

Managed to cope with something difficult Back to Eating Three Meals Everyday

After finding out about my (soon to be) ex-husband’s affair, I barely ate anything for days. Over the past month I’ve slowly gained more appetite, day by day. I can now confidently say I am back to regularly eating 3 meals everyday 💪🏼

BIG accomplishment Today I've been 30 years without drinking

I'm still an alcoholic.

That's it. I started getting drunk at about 11 and 12 and then binge and hard drinking through my teens. You know you're fucked up when you need rehab right when you are legal age to drink in the US. Talk to you kids not just about substance abuse but find out what's going on in their lives.

Thank you dear friends for the awards!

It's the day after Christmas and I put all the gifts are put away.

On Christmas day my wife and I go to her parents for gifting. And since she is a only child she gets lots of presents and since they want to be fair to me I get equal amount. So this leads to us having two to three boxes of presents each to take home. And now that we have a son that they just spoil it's worst(better?). Yesterday I had to make two trips in the car to bring everything home. In years past I would just sit the boxes around the house and tell myself that I would put them away later when I'm not tired. And of course I never would. Leading to finding a heavy coat in the middle of summer. But this morning I woke up and told myself I wouldn't do it this year. And I put everything in it's spot. Then my son woke up and dragged all the new toys out. But small victories right?

Really proud of myself I am sober and clean!

Hi guys , I am a recovering addict I am currently 3 weeks clean from weed & 6 weeks sober from alcohol. I find myself not giving myself a pat in the back for the things that I do. But I think I deserve to be proud of myself , & being able to choose myself. I want to continue this sober journey , and share with internet strangers because people in my life don’t know that I struggle with addiction. Or they are not fully supportive. I am A hugger and wish I could revive a bear hug.

Edit- Thank you all , I really appreciate the kind words ❤️. May you all have a wonderful rest of the year , I shall keep pushing forward.

Yes! I did it. I don’t need to go to bed at ridiculously early hours. I don’t need to take naps.

Yes please!

I just realized that I never made a contribution to my Roth IRA this year and when I did the math, I found that I finally exceeded the contribution income limit. I guess now I get to research backdoor Roths.

Really proud of myself I'm 42 years old and I played with Legos today

Backstory - I had a rough childhood, like a lot of people my age. I've loved Legos my whole life, but I wasn't allowed to play with them when I was a kid because it was a waste of time when there were chores to do. The one time my grandparents gave me a set for Christmas, my mom threw it away the next day. I never got another chance to play like that.

My husband bought me a whole stack of Lego sets for our first Christmas as a married couple. I put together my very first set today, all by myself, even though I'm a grownup. I felt really awkward at first, like I'm too old or I might get in trouble, but I kept going until I finished. It was even more fun than I thought it would be, and I can't wait to build another one.

Please congratulate me on pushing through old memories and learning how to play.

Really proud of myself Went to the gym every morning for three weeks straight

I think I have developed a new habit. I started going because I was worried about my heart and sedentary lifestyle. It was a miserable start but now I look forward to going to the gym again every day now.

I'm about to finally look how I want and I'm excited.

I have this show called NightNGale, and in said show, I have a self insert. When I first made him before I transitioned, I made him with one goal in mind. To be like him.

About a year later, I finally have all the stuff TO be able to look like him and finally be comfortable with myself a lot more without binding my chest. (I will later) I have so much to customize myself so i can look like him.

I'm happy. I'll show the outfit soon once I get everythung!!
