The Hunger Games wasn't nearly cynical enough.

it would have been unwatchable.

I suppose that's backed up by the vast number of people choosing not to see what's going on in Gaza.

The Hunger Games is just a big rip-off of a Japanese film called Battle Royale, which is an amazing film. And it is cynical enough, part of the reason it was never remade here in the US. It is a brutal film.

The thin line between entertainment and war just got even thinner.

Makes me so sad. I wish I can do more. I have doubts any donations make it to the people.

That's like saying that Lincoln created the KKK.

1

u/fencerman Sep 11 '24

No, Lincoln didn't specifically fund and support the KKK and ensure it survived as a matter of official government policy, you fucking dunce.

That's not what I said, Marxist.

No, you were making a stupid comparison that was simply wrong.

Also, Lincoln was a big fan of Marx. https://www.openculture.com/2022/01/how-karl-marx-influenced-abraham-lincoln-and-his-position-on-slavery-labor.html
