It’s best when you do it in the middle of a desert.

Hey, there's that one moonwell, in case you're a gnome who also shrank himself... And decided to /afk in it.

Last night someone buffed me and I was on autorun, took a second for me to turn around to try to buff them but they were already too far. I'm going to hell.

In Barrens the other day I hit a Druid with Fort, didn’t get Wild, kept running. Like 3 min later he whispered “STOP!”, caught up, hit me with it. Dude had been chasing me the whole time. Player of the year.

A lot of the time I'm semi-afk num lock running across a zone and I had a guy spamming me with pms absolutely furious I didn't buff him back.

I know right it’s like I’m running across the barrens to get to the next zone I’m number locked and reading a book.

Including the start of combat where every member of my party keeps telling me to pack for a trip for some reason.

I can't buff back, but sometimes I open trade and give some mana pots I found.

I report them as bots. Jk but many times now I have given MotW to a mage fishing for some intellect and then realize they are actually a bot.

If you do a driveby buff but wind up too far away for me to buff you back by the time I target you it's not my fault

u/PurpleSunCraze 20h ago
There’s a special level of Hell reserved for people that do this. Like beneath the boiler room under the septic tank.

While I agree, there are people like my gf who doesn’t even notice if someone buffs her. I’ll tell her to buff back but they are out of range. She’ll get the stationary ones back!

imagine thinking ppl are entitled for you to buff just because they buffed you for no reason

u/Recrewt 1d ago
nobody has to but it's just being nice, everyone wins so why not do it?

u/Spare-Ad-577 1d ago
the meme implies you would have to tho?
because sometimes i just dont wanna dismount running to my target locatio. thats all.

If I’m just traveling and see someone getting hit I will almost always toss a heal or rez a random corpse and save someone a death run.
It literally costs you nothing of any consequence. 20 seconds of time. Mana that will regen in a few seconds.
People who don’t are sociopaths, imo. Maladjusted social behavior.
Sometimes I’ll just go on my low level Druid alt and tag every mfer I see in x roads with my MOTW. Spend 5 minutes. Give folks I encounter a little buff.
It’s not make or break in either case. The point is being civil instead of selfish.
I’m sure if you think about it for a little you’ll understand .

I buff if I'm free. If you run past me and buff while I'm fighting several mobs, I'm sorry but I'm not wasting that mana mid combat as well as having to take longer for my next action.

I love it when you buff a class that can't buff back, but they do a little celebrative hop.
