He often has nuanced takes on topics. It at least gets you to consider the opposite point on something sometimes. I don't agree with everything he says but he does give some things to consider at times.
I'm with you, I don't agree with him all the time, but he's usually really good at explaining his position. I can always at least get where he's coming from.
Yes, he has some shit takes but also some good ones, almost like he is human, strange. Tho i have to say he is getting very polarized and is having very strong opinions in the last few years.
if you give an opinion and people give you hate for it without even considering your view point or exsplaning why they disagree your not gona change your mind depending on what the opinion is it might even confirm and solidefy your opinion... and before you know you have developed a tribalist us vs them mindset
he's made some good points on video games. back during the deidetected stuff he said somethin like 'dei will make a good game better, but it won't make a bad game good' which ended up being kinda spot on for what happened to concord.

Well he's a content creator. He makes money by weighing in on things even if he has no idea what they're about. He even admits himself that he has no problem "farming hate" for content. He doesn't mind when other people do that to him either. He's pretty upfront about his intentions. That's why people like him. He's just a guy who gives his opinion on random shit.

It's not so much that he doesn't agree with everything someone on the internet says, because you can disagree with the majority opinion while still having a solid and valid reasons behind it
I don't know much about his actual content, but I know the venn diagram of stuff that gets posted in his subreddit and stuff that gets posted in /r/KotakuInAction is basically a circle.
But like, isn't that what almost everyone in the mainstream does, YouTube or not YouTube?
What makes Asmongold reacting to people on the internet and get money off of it more hateable than, say, a TV compilation of funny things that happened either on other channels or on the internet (uncredited more often than not)

Because it's not him being opinionated that's the problem, it's the "opinions" he expresses while living in a run down shack putting mouth blood on his walls and not practicing proper hygiene
obviusly people dont hate him for having having opinions in general they hate the opinions themselfe. but i think even if he had diferant opinions but dident change anything about the type of content he makes hed still get hate just from diferant people
yeah i wont lie i do somtimes wach react content but i also feel like its a type of content that people shuldent be alowed to make money from especialy the ones that dont even ask for permision to react to somthing and dont even get me started on wen they skip the sponsored segments
