If I were a well-meaning communist that genuinely respected democracy and opposed ethnic hatred and genocide, and I were pressured to attend this march out of “solidarity,” I would be mad as hell at Hamas and their allies for putting me in that situation. This is truly deranged, even by the standards of the American far-left.

Although I’m pretty sure that anyone who genuinely respects democracy and opposes ethnic hatred has realized by now what this movement really is, and has disavowed it.

How is this jew hate... no one is being attacked, they are leaving those students alone. Like isn't this what democracies enshrine?

It's not democratic to harrass people and sorround them.

They literally walked into the circle they wanted to look oppressed while showing up to a demonstration...what's up with the cancer ribbon?

They are not Hamas supporters for protesting 50-100k innocents being slain. There’s a reason even France and Spain won’t sell Israel weapons anymore. There’s a reason 3/4 the countries at the UN walked out of Netenyahu speaking (while he held up a map showing Gaza and West Bank as part of Israel, which is fucking disgusting of him)

Sincerely, Anti-Israel Jews

I'm not a Jew, and I respect that you have skin in the game, which is not the case with a lot of American protestors.

I'm curious - as an "Anti-Israel Jew", what is your wish for the Jews that reside in Israel? You want the dissolution of Israel - where do the Jews go? Do you think those that those whose ancestors resided there before 1948 should be allowed to stay? (Putting aside the issue of how unrealistic that would be from a safety standpoint.) Where should the immigrants and descendants of immigrants go?

This is a sincere question. I have heard the phrase anti-Zionist thrown around a lot, and I think sometimes the people using it don't really understand what Zionism is, or that anti-Zionist means that you don't believe that Israel has a right to exist. You are clearer in saying that you don't believe in the right of Israel to exist, and I wonder what that means for the people who live there.

Oh please. Those clowns wrapping themselves in the Israeli flags deliberately went to the location of the anti-genocide protests and filmed themselves to look like victims. Of course the video gets posted here with tons of upvotes because the people in this sub happily buy into the Israel fanatic propaganda

EDIT: that dumb brat is wearing IDF dog tags. F her

Exactly they went there looking for confrontation and are upset they aren't being attacked since that would validate the narrative they have.

What a misleading post title. If these protests are anything like the anti-Israeli government protests in my country, they are protesting against the war and violence and hunger and destruction that is being forced upon millions of innocent civilians. Such protest does not equate at all to supporting Hamas, and saying it does is misleading and polarizing.

they can't even give the Jews one day to mourn without making it all about themselves.

where are the hostages btw? asking for a friend.

Probably starving under tunnels, if only Israel had agreed to the last hostage exchange before communication came to an end, we may have had an actual ceasefire and a return of all of the hostages.

cool more victim blaming

Like you just did with the Palestinians under Hamas dictatorship... we know Likud and Netanyahu aren't interested in the hostages as they rejected three deals in july... that would have saved hostages that ended up dying in September.

Who is talking about "the Jews"? You people like to generalize and make everything different than it is intended. These protests are not against the Jews, even stronger many Jewish people participate in them. Even in Israel there are massive demonstrations against the current Israeli government. That is who these protests target: the Israeli government and their actions.

"You people". Doesn't take long for the racism to show huh.

You people that generalize. There you go again making things different, putting words in people's mouths that they have not said, just like expected :).

The backpedaling here is impressive. You should join the circus.

Of course backpedalling. Please consider to stop your generalizing and polarizing, it helps no one, also not the conflict you are trying to stop. You cannot see anything but Jews on one side and Palestinians on the other, but this is simply not the reality, as I noted above, many Jews are protesting against the Israeli government and Palestinians certainly do not equate with Hamas. Let some nuance and complexity in your life please

Palestinians keep letting Hamas act on their behalf. Maybe try not doing that.

But you cannot equate the two like this, it is the same as saying that the USA let's themselves be represented by the Republicans or even the KKK, simply because they exist within the country. Or that the French are the same as the Parisians. It is all simply not true and generalizes people to a degree that is unhelpful and even harmful

Hamas has governed Gaza since 2007. Is this not true?
