Medical Questions Why does my cats smell so good?

My cat regularly smells faintly flowery. But I rarely bathe her, i don't perfume her, i don't dress her up in anything washed with laundry detergent. Is it because she lays out in the sun?

My little fella is 4 years old and small for his age. He is a tuxedo with a white chin and white paws and the rest is all black. He is an inside cat and uses non scented litter. AND HE SMELLS SO GOOD! He smells really good. like flowers and sandalwood lol like all the time 🤣 I don’t know how or why but I’m grateful he is a good smelling boy :)

My black and white cat smells sweet and flowery and warm... Like sundried laundry and fresh air and grass. My old tabby smelled like trees and warm and cedar brush. Like he spent all his time rolling in some kind of aromatic cedar grass. It's weird all cats have their own smell I think.

I think your right :) All cats smell different. Kinda like humans lol A cedar brush tabby sounds like a nice cuddle 🤗 sometimes I’ll put a little organic extra virgin coconut oil on jaspers coat and it affects his smell a bit. But he likes it and it compliments his scent. I love my little buddy. I also feel bad for people who’s cats stink lol

I guess you’re not smelling her breath. Cats’ breath isn’t usually associated with good smells.

Cats really do clean themselves very well. My cat will be dirty and dusty because he’ll roll in the dirt. You can see how dingy his fur looks. Then, he’ll come inside and in an hour, he’ll be spotless.

She might have found flowers or maybe some perfume to roll in. I have never bathed my cat.

Since both of my cat lost all of their teeth last summer, they don't have a stinky breath anymore :D
