Medical Questions Cat trying to pee a lot

Post image

Hello,

I’ll try to get right to the point. One of my 5 cats, female 2.5yrs 13-14lbs, has been going to the litter box and squatting to pee a lot. With only really dribbles coming out.

We took her 2 weeks ago to the vet right away when we noticed this behavior. They gave her an antibacterial/anti-inflammatory shot. She seemed to be much better.

Fast forward to yesterday and she is doing it again. Our vet is closed till Monday on holiday and we plan to take her to an emergency vet. But has anyone had this happen to one of their babies? Or know what this is a sign of?

Thank you in advance!

It’s likely a urinary issue like FLUTD, UTI, or bladder inflammation. Monitor for blockage (no pee at all—emergency!) and encourage water intake.

Mine had a kidney stone, and had to go to surgery.
