We store ours in a tin and Dot can get that lid off too with zero help. Her brother needs help with it. Added cat tax.

We used to get treats in bags but she would tear the bag apart, now we can't stop her

I learned that lesson years ago the hard way too. I left a bag accessible to My two kitties and when I came home there were holes chewed in it and all the treats were gone

I expected my cats to be able to open the bag. What I did not expect was them knocking over the box that I hid the bag in until the bag fell out and they then tore through the bag.

LMAO I feel the pain. I just bought my cat one of those cat cameras that dispenses treats. This morning I opened the camera to check on him and it was laying on the floor. I went in the room it's in and he had eaten the entire thing of treats except for like five or six that were left on the floor ๐คฃ so now I'm going to have to duct tape the lid.

"I am going to encourage my cat to open the treat box, what can go wrong?"

"And then let her eat straight out the box with her mouth, turning the treats into a petri dish of bacteria. Yum"

There's gotta be crack in those treats, my cat goes insane for them

u/SingleSeaCaptain 13h ago
Same! We call them cat crack in my house

u/Unusual-Thing-7149 11h ago
We do too. If our cat hears us shaking the container she'll run from the other side of our house to get them
In America it's probably not illegal to put something addictive in cat treats

Temptations are called Catisfactions in Spain and I love that for us.

She couldn't do it alone. You were holding the can with your hand.

For now. But kitty has learned that the treat box can be opened, and will redouble efforts to open the treats even when unsupervised.

My boy figured out last night that if he knocks the cat cam over all the treats will spill out. He ate a whole bag of treats while I was sleeping ๐๐๐

You've created a monster. Never encourage them to be more clever than they already are. I love cats with all my heart and soul, but they be some manipulative, self serving, selfish animals who won't think twice about creating havoc to accomplish their goals.

Don't give them too many, it's a good way for them to have kidney stones.
