We store ours in a tin and Dot can get that lid off too with zero help. Her brother needs help with it. Added cat tax.

She is now unstopable

We used to get treats in bags but she would tear the bag apart, now we can't stop her

I learned that lesson years ago the hard way too. I left a bag accessible to My two kitties and when I came home there were holes chewed in it and all the treats were gone

I expected my cats to be able to open the bag. What I did not expect was them knocking over the box that I hid the bag in until the bag fell out and they then tore through the bag.

LMAO I feel the pain. I just bought my cat one of those cat cameras that dispenses treats. This morning I opened the camera to check on him and it was laying on the floor. I went in the room it's in and he had eaten the entire thing of treats except for like five or six that were left on the floor ๐Ÿคฃ so now I'm going to have to duct tape the lid.

I put them in a glass mason jar for safe keeping ๐Ÿ˜„

"I am going to encourage my cat to open the treat box, what can go wrong?"

"And then let her eat straight out the box with her mouth, turning the treats into a petri dish of bacteria. Yum"

There's gotta be crack in those treats, my cat goes insane for them

16

u/SingleSeaCaptain 13h ago

Same! We call them cat crack in my house

We do too. If our cat hears us shaking the container she'll run from the other side of our house to get them

In America it's probably not illegal to put something addictive in cat treats

What a smart void!

Temptations are called Catisfactions in Spain and I love that for us.

Thatโ€™s so fun lol. I donโ€™t get why they donโ€™t call it that everywhere else.

Good news is she is super smart, bad news is she now weighs 80 lbs

She couldn't do it alone. You were holding the can with your hand.

For now. But kitty has learned that the treat box can be opened, and will redouble efforts to open the treats even when unsupervised.

My boy figured out last night that if he knocks the cat cam over all the treats will spill out. He ate a whole bag of treats while I was sleeping ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜…

Now youโ€™ll need a bank safe.

What are the stickers on top of the lid for?

20

u/momckc 10h ago

So the cat can grip the lid, I think

6

u/morbidpigeon 9h ago

Why would you do this to yourself ๐Ÿ˜‚

11

u/LeftPurple9321 14h ago

She's a very smart girl!

I love the American accent!!! Itโ€™s so cute!!!

If cats had thumbs, they would think about taking over the world and then find somewhere warm to sleep

You've created a monster. Never encourage them to be more clever than they already are. I love cats with all my heart and soul, but they be some manipulative, self serving, selfish animals who won't think twice about creating havoc to accomplish their goals.

I am not letting my cat watch this.

u/clockattack 11h ago

Just use one of those child safe boxes where you have to press on both sides

1

u/Jolly-Cress-8631 11h ago

Don't give them too many, it's a good way for them to have kidney stones.

u/Merky600 11h ago

Cat IQs are scalable.

The change factor is food.

1

u/Opnes123 10h ago

Oh smart one

1

u/MaleficentAd5134 6h ago

She was mannered and took only one treat, mine would have eaten much more ๐Ÿ˜†

1

u/MegaCatStudios 5h ago

She now has unlimited access to treats!

u/CuriousTighe 1h ago

Say what you will, but cats are NOT stupid.....except for orange ones. Yeah, they're stupid.
