[General Discussion] Just finished Castle Spoiler
My girlfriend and I have been binging the series, and we just finished the last episode.
I want to say that it felt rushed; I want to say that so much happened in the last 2 minutes that just left us saying, “WTF?” but I’m just glad that it ended happily. When it cut to 7 years later, Castle began talking about Beckett as his muse and endings. I assumed it was Castle creating a reality where they had kids and were a happy family, but in reality, they bled out together and died on the kitchen floor. And before that, when Castle turned on the stove, I thought that there was going to be a gas explosion. I'm at least glad that wasn't the ending; I just wish that there had been more of a direct buildup, rather than the filler episodes that we got, and an extended finale.
The series deserved a much more poignant and intricate ending, but it just ended. I'm curious to know what any of your thoughts might be about the show and how it ended. Note that I haven't researched how this finale was perceived, and that I loved this show, but my feelings remain that the ending was unfair to the show, and it deserved better.

S8 Spoiler
First I wanna thanks to everyone who recommended me to watch the last season. Secon I don't understand how people could told me that last season is horrible, I personally enjoyed watching S8 and don't understand why some people hated on it. Yeah maybe the main storyline wasn't that good, but its only bad thing what I can tell about these season.
It's sad that these great show ended for me, so I asking for help to finding something to watch next. I'm not sure about bones and already watched: The mentalist, Criminal minds, White collar. I'll be very greatfull if someone can suggest me something to watch.

Season 5x10 "Significant others" Spoiler
For the first time I wanted the killer to get away with it, I mean the lawyer knew how bad Billy treated his wife and thought it was an "injustice" thay Billy; the abusive monster was labelled as a "wife killer" and she couldn't live with the "injustice". For once I didn't feel sympathetic to the victim but the killer because in my mind (and opinion) she deserved what she got for her so called sense of justice knowing the entire truth. I think that was the one case where I wanted them to fail to close the case.

Beckett's lies
One thing I hated about beckett was her lies even after getting together with castle...All that talk about her walls coming down in the previous season was all that, just talk, I mean her lyinv about Christmas was a prime example of that. Is it so difficult for her to be straightforward with him I kno2 castle does that sometimes and I want to smack some sense into him every time he does that. But the primary difference between his lies and beckett's lies is the fact that Castle always lie to protect beckett, he would take a bullet for her. But beckett, yeah her lies have always been protecting herself and her walls.

Last season
Should I watch last season. I just don't want to ruin a good name of these show by watching season 8. With all these problem between maim actors(characters) and new show runners, I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it

Background music getting progressively more dramatic
I just started season 7 and I'm curious if anyone else noticed the background music getting progressively more aggressively dramatic as the seasons go on?
I started noticing how melodramatic the background music was in season 6. I don't know if it's been that way the whole time and I was in the castle honeymoon phase where I couldn't see the faults in the show. Or if they just started making the music more dramatic as the writing got worse to make up for the writing.

Writer's way of dealing with conflict between castle and beckett
I am on another rewatch spree as I got a few days to spare...I am at season 4x20. And my God some things just piss me off like shit. Like show runners never let beckett deal with the consequences of her lies (I love beckett with all her gracefulness and her flaws and everything). It's just writers never dug deep when it came to holding beckett accountable like they did to castle (again I love beckett more than castle). When it's Castle's fault, everyone gives him hell. But when beckett's on the wrong, it just goes away like it's not even important. Like how quickly beckett accepts Colin hunt's drink offer as she sees castle pulling away without even confronting him and that just bugs me off the wrong way. Like they never made beckett look bad even when she did something wrong. And don't even get me started on lainey, she is always on beckett's back to get her freaks on with castle but as soon as some hot guy appears, she starts drooling and pushing beckett towards that guy....like seriously? I hate lainey for that, I mean look at espo and kevin, they get all weird when either beckett of castle are with someone else.

[Episode Discussion] Thoughts on the Wedding Episode(7x06 Time of Our Lives)
I know some were disappointed that the initial wedding was tainted in the Season 6 finale but I really enjoyed the AU episode in 7x06. Loved seeing if Castle and Beckett never meant how it impacted both of them and their friends. Also thought the wedding was intimate with only family members and perfect for Caskett. Watching them deliver the vows was beautiful and made me tearful(especially when Beckett spoke about “living in the warmth of your smile and the strength of your embrace” and Castle mentioned how she was the “joy in his heart”) and the dance to “In My Veins” was perfect to cap it off🙂

Something that bothers me, Espo taking L's Spoiler
Why does Esposito take so many L's in the show? I mean he loses physical fights. Of the top of my head he loses to Cole Maddox and he loses to the one Santa killer.
Except Espo is stated to be ex-Special Forces in the Army, meaning he was either a Ranger, a Green Beret, or Delta. He should have at least been on par with Coonan, Lockwood, and Maddox. But I think all three of them punked him if memory serves. And that Santa knocking him out with the plastic candy cane is even more incredulous.

Always deleted scene Spoiler
Caskett fans I have important question for you about THIS deleted scene from Always episode.
How do you feel about it? I must admit when I first saw this I was like ”No way! How could they cut this?” But years after that I just think maybe it was all too much and not enough at the same time

[Question (Spoilers)] The CHUD, orc and sleestack
Does anyone else ever wonder the continuation story of the criminals? Cool Boys episode. I can only cringe thinking of Mark West's character behind bars. He's toast. Little Girl Lost: The mom truly despised her husband. She is the epiphany of a woman falling out of love and respect for her husband. Rethinking her bad choices?

[Question (Non-Spoilers)] Season 1 ep 8 Music to my ears
I LISTEN to this episode on full volume. I fell in ❤️ with Joanne Kelly in this episode. Well, in ❤️ with her voice. It's has just enough gravely tone to be mesmerizing.

Happy episodes?
I've been feeling kinda down and was wondering if anyone had any happy or at least happyish episodes?
I have the bomb where Rick and Kate hug after he destroys it in my mind, but nothing else I suppose. I'll take anything.

[General Discussion] Just started!
I just caught up with The Rookie yesterday and I'm now on episode 3 of season 1. It's an interesting show so far! I'm curious to see where the plot goes, I have a hard time believing the whole show is about an author tag teaming with a detective for 9 seasons (don't tell me) but I'm excited to watch further! Something that is bothering me though is the lighting in this first season 😅 it's just so dark!

[Question (Non-Spoilers)] First time watcher, wondering if season 8 is worth watching
I am watching Castle for the first time and the first 6 seasons were amazing. I am currently at the end of season 7 and it feels a little… off in a way. I don’t enjoy it as much as the others, although some episodes are great. Anyway, I have seen on this subreddit that season 8’s quality is abysmal, and I wonder as a first time watcher if I will be completely disappointed by it

Weird name choice
I recently (2 days ago) started watching castle for the first time. I’ve been enjoying it so far until today. I got to S1 E9, “Little Girl Lost.” In the episode a soldiers girlfriend gives birth to a baby, and puts it up for adoption while he is deployed to Iraq.
Now the weird portion here is that in the show? The soldier name is Juan Restrepo. This stood out to me. In 2007 PFC Juan Restrepo, a combat medic, was killed when his unit was ambushed by insurgents in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan. If you want to learn more the fantastic 2010 documentary “Restrepo” does a great job following his unit at an OP named in his honor.
What are the odds that they would name a soldier home from Iraq after a dead soldier? And if not a coincidence, why would they name the bad guy after him?
Personally I think it’s a coincidence but I still found it very weird.

[Question (Spoilers)] Hi everyone! First post in here :) opening up a discussion about a happening in the later seasons Spoiler
I recently started rewatching the show after a long break and I was reminded of how amazing those first 5 seasons are. The chemistry between Castle and Beckett is just fantastic, and their eventual romance was everything I hoped for. However, the whole storyline where Castle disappears on their wedding day and becomes some kind of secret agent was a bit too out there for me. It felt like the show lost its original charm…and frankly made me a bit confused. Anyone else feel the same way? I’d love to hear your thoughts! ALSO any explanation to refresh my memory as to why it happened and maybe to change my mind is welcome as well.

LokSat should've been weaved into the storyline earlier. Spoiler
Just finished the series.
LokSat completely took over the 8th season, which I've read many people disliked.
I wish that there were hints dropped much earlier. That it was more complex than "the previous baddest guy in the show was actually a puppet of the new baddest guy in the show".
Just felt rushed and a bit shit.
Ryan has a family and you're telling me they were never abducted to try and turn him? Esposito too.
What about Hayley? None of the core cast were ever put in a position of moral compromise. At least not really.
The show, in entirety, is great. Loved it. But my God season 8 was a let down.
Edit: When I say "weaved into the storyline earlier" I say that because the entire thing could've moved slower and been less of a complete take-over of the show.
