How Canada Post Undermined the Strike Through Purolator

How is that even possible? Purolator is not remotely cost effective when you're talking about sending documents or cheques. Not even with their promotional rates during the strike of $15-$20 which didn't include all the fees Purolator charges.

I work for a B2B business that used to ship more than 3/4 of our orders through Canada Post, that number has continuously shrunk through the years as more and more retailers have opted to have their shipments go through Purolator, as the prices are so much better. In cases where the rates are comparable, Canada Post is generally quoting a day or two longer in transit. Btw, Purolator is literally owned by Canada Post. Canada Post has visited our office several times to discuss offering us special rates and nothing has come close to it being a cost efficient option.
