Minimalist If this doesn’t motivate me, I don’t know what will!

Thank you! I just did 5 of each.
At the vet with my pup one time and she asked, “Does he like butt stuff?” Needless to say, I thought it was a strange way to ask if he handles the thermometer part. 😆

Lolol I love this! Throw some rdls or hip thrusts in there!

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
Perfect. 🙌🏼 I was already thinking about how I needed a different Tetris piece 😂

u/RL2397 Jan 08 '21
I’m 100% stealing this OH my god.
Edit, gonna save the post to credit/tag you if I post it here :D

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
No need for credit. Not here for that. Can’t wait to see it. Always looking for new ideas!!! 🙌🏼

u/ladybugsandbeer Jan 09 '21
I just made one in my bujo (after I saw your spread a couple of days ago) with different stuff that is self care / helps me and others:
DIY
Get rid of clutter
Try a new recipe
Work out > 30min
Do sth good for somebody else
Do some awful To Do that I kept on avoiding
Message a friend or relative I haven't talked to in a while

Brilliant! Like the name, like the Tetris blocks and the map to each targeted muscle!

u/groovy-ghouly Jan 08 '21
Omg THIS should be the style of literally every progress marker I need to make.

Jan 08 '21
This is absolute genius, either for ‘butt stuff’ or anything with lots of different bits to it. Can’t wait to try this, thank you for sharing!

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21 edited Jan 08 '21
Thankyou! Yes I’ve done a Tetris spread for “adulting” things. I made a list of things I didn’t do much or didn’t like doing, and gave myself ‘credit’ when I did. Hahah 🙌🏼

u/AdorableFlirt Jan 08 '21
I would love to see your other Tetris sheets!
13
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
https://i.imgur.com/T1KsVEp.jpg This is one I made for adulting.
And for the record I “didn’t lose my shit” more then I gave myself credit for. Hahaha.

u/diggsyb Jan 08 '21
Adulting is hard. I am personally awful at it. Maybe this will make it more fun for me.
2
u/TTT_2k3 Jan 08 '21
“Didn’t lose my shit.” = thought I was going to poop my pants, but made it to the bathroom in time
Right?
2
u/FluffyMao Jan 08 '21
That is beautiful! I have an adulting list, but not one with tetris blocks. So clever! My main takeaway tho is that I need a "didn't lose my shit" column. That actually seems important to mark down right now. :3

I love it! I just have to ask why does she have two sharp corners on her left side of her back? It isn't bad at all! I'm just overly curious!

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
Hahaha I know. It’s ‘supposed’ to be texture of a shirt. I didn’t add enough shading. I’m sure by the end of the year, it’ll be more defined with more doodles&shading.
9
u/Raissa94 Jan 08 '21
Really nice! My exercise track is just text xd I suggest add hip thrust and glute bridge, if you have some elastic bands much better. For more focused glute in split squat, lean your torso forward but straight back, good luck!

u/baguetteroni Jan 08 '21
this is so beautiful!! at first i thought it was just like abstract art of the butt and then i saw the tetris blocks are was like WOAH

This is adorable! How many reps/sets do you do? Or do you just go until you feel like stopping?
33
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
Just until I feel like stopping. I’m not the best at keeping myself accountable for these. So I give myself credit for ANY effort. Haha 😌

This is awesome! I would recommend getting some resistance bands and adding them to the lift, kick, bridge and hydrants for an extra oomph! Bands completely changed the shape of my butt!

I want to try some of these!!! I'm just curious what "fire hydrant" is?? I can't tell much by the picture, sorry if it's a dumb question

You lift your leg up and out away from your body while on all fours like a dog peeing on a fire hydrant.

This is hilarious and fantastic. I am inspired. I've never done a tetris spread but I've seen them around - do you just draw a new tetris block whenever you finish a corresponding activity? Do you track the dates or anything like that along with it?

3
u/EveryPeanut Jan 08 '21
Honestly, my favorite part of this is that you are encouraged to do ALL of the exercises too based on what tetris piece you need. It's such a clever design! I am so guilty of always defaulting to one type. I am definitely going to do this - thanks for such great motivation!
3
u/itsannagm Jan 08 '21
This is absolutely amazing and actually a good motivation :) good luck with your workouts! (and the tetris game of course)

Love this !! This is super cheeky but would you have any exercises for stomach and arms ??
10
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
I don’t! I’m pretty lean, so I mainly focus on getting a badonk😝 But if you google workouts by muscle group, I’m sure they will have very similar stuff!

u/drunk-on-amethyst Jan 08 '21
Remember to add weight (if possible) and eat lots of protein! The Glute muscles are mostly 50/50 type 1 and type 2 fibers, which means some of those fibers will respond to higher repetitions (15+) whereas the other will respond to greater force production which is where the weights come in hand (at about 8-12 reps). Protein for recovery and growth!

u/CM_Chonk_1088 Jan 08 '21
This is insanely creative and I am here for it 100% good luck with the Tetris game

u/Aliceinsludge Jan 08 '21
I feel completely different muscle activating when doing those exercises. Donkey kicks target like purely glutes, and if I keep knee straight it works more on tighs.
2
u/bad_napper Jan 08 '21
How long do you anticipate that this spread will "last" like if you do 3 or 4 different ones per work out, when do you anticipate to have this page filled out? I did a workout tracker for the entire year, but I love this idea so so much
5
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
I honestly don’t know. Hopefully I need more then one?? But I won’t be disappointed if I only fill one up. Progress is progress in my book hahah 💪🏼👍🏼

I have to ask: Are the different colors drawn on the butt the various muscles that the pertaining exercise focuses on?
That was my instinct but I am not sure what the anatomy of a butt is.

u/zanz2000 Jan 27 '21
Bloody genius!!! Love it. Tetris/block game motivation to exercise. Plus the added meditative aspect of drawing and colouring in the shapes as you progress.

But...this is anatomically and bio-mechanically inaccurate.
For example, Squat motions are going to be quad dominate, not gluteus maximus or hamstrings. Glutes aren't split like that. Gluteus medius (who knows which is supposed to be picture here since its just wrong) is primarily for knee abduction not hip flexion.

I’m not a meat head, so I wouldn’t consult me for workout advice. I used a combo of targeted workout guides like this. https://imgur.com/a/KLhWLsS/
It was the simplest way for me to enjoy it ascetically, and not make it too complicated. I considered doing muscles in primary colors, then secondary colors for workouts, since it -does- use more then one. 🤷🏼♀️ But, If you have other ideas, I’d love to see them!

Its being not a 'meat head' knowing the basics of what exercises are supposed to work and how your body moves.
It was the simplest way for me to enjoy it ascetically, and not make it too complicated.
Aesthetics aren't the issue. Ironically, one of the issues here is you have made to too complicated. Which then causes several of inaccuracies. If you'd just left it at high level glutes hamstrings and quads (well including them), you'd have been better off.
But, If you have other ideas, I’d love to see them!
Yeah and I will be blunt: actually learn what muscles and what they primary do doing before creating a chart talking about it. I'm not saying you need to be an expert writing for a exercise journal. But this is firmly in blatantly wrong territory. If someone were to follow this expecting to work the muscles listed, they are going to be in for a real shocker.

Everything all over google must be wrong- shame on me...?
What 'all over google' do you mean exactly? But yes, I'd say there is a shit load of misinformation about exercise out there if you're just googling and getting random-ass yoga blogger 'how to grow your butt' stuff. That includes the Image link your shared. Again, the information/suggestions there range from mediocre to blatantly wrong.
If you're looking for some solid exercise information, I'd recommend people like Jeff Nippard and Alan Thrall. Double recommend Jeff's Technic Tuesday series if you're looking for a base line for major bio-mechanics.

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
I’m not looking for a solid routine. I am terrible at actually doing it. So even 5 hip thrusts, while I’m laying on the ground playing with my kids, is a feat in my book.
I do appreciate the advice- I’m sure someone on here will use it. Maybe use kinder words next time- like providing a reference from the start. It felt very hostile. Lol.Anyways. Thanks again! 🍑☺️✌🏼

Um this is definitely old and stolen... I’ve seen this months ago. Smh give credit to the original artist
Edit: I'm sorry OP! I must've seen it on BuJo a month ago! I'm pretty sensitive to potential art theft and was concerned this may be it & wanted to bring attention in case.
6
Jan 08 '21
I've seen it a while ago too, but it could be the same person posting I guess?
Edit: yeah it looks like OP posted it on r/bujo about a month ago, based on their history!
4
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
Yeah! Sorry for the confusion. It was removed from there. So wanted to share here. With ‘some’ progress. 😌🤷🏼♀️😝

u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21 edited Jan 08 '21
Edit: you may be talking about my post in Bujo?
I’m not here for credit. I didn’t find it and copy. I have multiple old journals of old versions of Tetris and butt workouts. And I have blended lots of ideas from lots of Pinterest and Reddit posts. I made this without intentions of copying anyone. This is actually my first time making this combination. Please send credit to whoever the ‘OG’ is if you can find it. I’m sure they have some great other stuff.
I posted here to inspire new ideas. I’m tired of the same stickered up spreads that require daily upkeeps. My hope was to see others spins and some new ideas.
5
u/lnrpkrj Jan 08 '21
I think they are actually referring to your post! I think you posted this pic (or something really really similar) in bujo about a month ago.
9
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
Oh hahaha yeah I did!! It got taken down for some reason! Probably broke a posting rule or something. Much more lax here. And I’ve added some Tetris blocks since then 😝
7
u/hecaete47 Jan 08 '21
Hey, OP!
Apologies, I must've seen it there about a month ago! I definitely had seen it before and am a bit sensitive to potential art theft.
4
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
No worries! Good looking out. I’m not worried about any credit. I do hope it inspires some fresh spreads! 🤗

u/widowmakerthicc Jan 08 '21
Just do normal squats they work the whole glute and legs ??
14
u/Mommikemommike Jan 08 '21
I have a bad knee, so I can’t do many squats without it causing issues for a few days. 😔
