Thank you!!! The tricky part is making sure you get the sticky part in there haha

u/AkaBreeno Jul 22 '20

That’s something I definitely would of forgotten and cut off!

I’m too tired to be awake today. My brain went “What’s a moonim? Must be a different language. Wait everything else is in English- ohh, window...”

26

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Haha this made me laugh so hard 😂

17

u/alpenhein Jul 22 '20

Me with sto cab and rage inet 😭

12

u/meilinleaf Jul 22 '20

That's how I felt but with 'rage inet'. It took a moment to figure out that the 'storage cabinet' post-it was cut in half.

u/LuluLamoreaux Jul 22 '20

Came here to say the same!

3

u/ThaKoopa Jul 22 '20

Have no fear. I did they too

3

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Haha this thread cracks me up

2

u/lofted_ceiling Jul 22 '20

I just came here to make sure I wasn’t the only one

I hate moving but looking at your spread made me want to do it again!

12

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Haha I totally relate. Moving is the worst and I always forget until the next time I move and then I remember

20

u/unarolaenusa Jul 22 '20

Dude you are so smart! I just moved and this is exactly what I needed.

10

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! And yeah it’s also good for digital versions as well if you wanted to do it in PowerPoint or word!! It’s probably easier that way but I wanted something for my journal 😊

12

u/Dressagediva Jul 22 '20

Dead ass sat here for way too long trying to figure out what a “rage inet” was

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Haha I realize how that could get confusing 😬my storage cabinet is too halves so I just cut it when I realized I needed to separate them to make everything fit!

10

u/mantequillachevere Jul 22 '20

Thanks! I’m about to move and need to figure out how to organize

12

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Glad you liked it!! I also had another page where I laid out all my pieces of furniture so that might be helpful to see what you still need that you don’t have and what you don’t need anymore!

I'm in the process of buying a house as well - I would love to see other related pages of yours for inspiration :)

I just posted the other spread I have! Check out this post

Need to know what bedroom layout you chose!

3

u/Lctart13 Jul 22 '20

Same!!!

3

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

I chose a modification of the bottom one!! Slightly different though

2

u/Lctart13 Jul 22 '20

Awesome 😁

6

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '20

This is so smart...oh my gosh

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! It was a lot of fun to have a very practical use 😊

5

u/sundaygir99 Jul 22 '20

I did something super similar a couple years ago when I moved! Yours is much neater, I love it!

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! 💕

3

u/soignestrumpet Jul 22 '20

I did this when I moved last year but my post its weren't color coded. Remembwing which yellow square was a side table vs a shelf or whatever was tough, this is so much better!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Haha I can see how that would get very confusing 😱

4

u/CelestinWard Jul 22 '20

very cool! I personally like the 2nd bedroom layout since you can crash onto your bed the instant you walk into your room. And when you’re working at your desk, you have sunlight from the window! I do have some minor reservations about the mirror being next to the window though. Rogue beams of light in your face, or maybe even some privacy issues. But it does offer better lighting when using the mirror though. Overall, I love your planning and thanks for sharing!

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

That is what I liked about it too!! To put you at ease.... I ended up taking my free standing mirror out of my bedroom and in a common area because I didn’t have a good place for it. Now I have a mirror mounted to the back of my bedroom door. Such a good steal from Target — it was only $7!

this is so smart

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! Glad you like 😊

3

u/Angry__Jellyfish Jul 22 '20

How come you swapped the compass and orientation?

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

I did it in terms of what I thought the room orientation is and not cardinal directions because it felt more natural to me, but I still wanted to add it as a little flourish because I thought it was cute 😊

2

u/Angry__Jellyfish Jul 22 '20

Ah thanks, i was super puzzled. It's a jazzy little compass!

3

u/amikavenka Jul 22 '20

My BA is on ID back back on the days before CAD. I had to draft everything so this bought back a lot of memories. This is very clever.

Thank you!! 😊

I’m afraid I’m totally stealing this - I’m getting my sisters ottoman bed and it’s much bigger than my old bed frame so I will need to some serious furniture rearranging n the next few days .

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! You’ll have to share updates of how it works for you!

2

u/azuldelmar Jul 22 '20

Uh this is so cool!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! 😊

2

u/bebsveh Jul 22 '20

I’m trying to plan out ikea furniture and moving details and this page idea actually made me excited to do that. Absolutely love!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! 😊IKEA is the best. I’m so glad I have one like 15 min away

2

u/rejecteddroid Jul 22 '20

oh my god i love this! wow! such a cool idea!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Thank you!! 😊

2

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '20

My roommate's moving out next week, and I'll be moving from the upstairs suite down to the ground level suite, and this is PERFECT for trying to actually solidify all the plans in my head. Thank you, this is so lovely.

2

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Good luck with moving!! Hope it works out well for you!

2

u/elainevdw Jul 22 '20

Cute idea! I like the cardinal directions — could help you figure out where to put houseplants, or do some feng shui. ;)

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

I was thinking that too!! Just didn’t really put into practice 😬

2

u/TheseRevolution Jul 22 '20

Genius!!!!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Glad you like it!!

2

u/iamcollegebored Jul 22 '20

i don’t know why i’m so invested in this but in the bottom bedroom spread it would have been really cool if you switched the placing of the desk and the storage cabinet/mirror; having your desk face a windo would have been really good for productivity

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

Actually the reason why I didn’t do that is because the window sill is a lot shorter than my desk so I find it kinda awkward

I did end up doing something different with my mirror and storage cabinet though!

2

u/kirby-420 Jul 22 '20

omg love this, what a great idea!!

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 23 '20

Thank you 😊

3

u/bornslyasafox Jul 22 '20

I know youre not asking but, I've always been a fan of having my bed touch a corner. Feels more comfortable to me

1

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

It definitely makes my bed feel a lot bigger. I had my bed in a corner at the last apt I lived in and when I moved here I couldn’t believe how much smaller my bed looked!! I think it’s because if you have a wall on one side, you can put more stuff there without it falling off

1

u/wouldeye Jul 22 '20

How did you ensure consistent measurement proportions?

6

u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20

I made them all the same scale!! My scale was 1 in = 1/2 mm

1

u/the-hustle-cat Jul 22 '20

I love this. It makes me think of my grandpa. A few years ago he gave me an old briefcase of his that still had a few odds and ends in it, including an envelope full of bits of paper. The paper scraps were all labeled and perfectly to scale. It took a little bit to figure out what the “AMWA” was, but got it eventually 💛😂

I'm work for a eater damage mitigation company and we do sketches of all the rooms affected in order to calculate the amount of possible humidity in each room. And volume of. Space needed to dry. You putting your measurements on the outside of the walls triggers me. Should be on the inside lol.
