I’m too tired to be awake today. My brain went “What’s a moonim? Must be a different language. Wait everything else is in English- ohh, window...”

That's how I felt but with 'rage inet'. It took a moment to figure out that the 'storage cabinet' post-it was cut in half.

I hate moving but looking at your spread made me want to do it again!

Haha I totally relate. Moving is the worst and I always forget until the next time I move and then I remember

Dude you are so smart! I just moved and this is exactly what I needed.

Thank you!! And yeah it’s also good for digital versions as well if you wanted to do it in PowerPoint or word!! It’s probably easier that way but I wanted something for my journal 😊

Dead ass sat here for way too long trying to figure out what a “rage inet” was

Haha I realize how that could get confusing 😬my storage cabinet is too halves so I just cut it when I realized I needed to separate them to make everything fit!

Thanks! I’m about to move and need to figure out how to organize

Glad you liked it!! I also had another page where I laid out all my pieces of furniture so that might be helpful to see what you still need that you don’t have and what you don’t need anymore!

I'm in the process of buying a house as well - I would love to see other related pages of yours for inspiration :)

I did something super similar a couple years ago when I moved! Yours is much neater, I love it!

I did this when I moved last year but my post its weren't color coded. Remembwing which yellow square was a side table vs a shelf or whatever was tough, this is so much better!

very cool! I personally like the 2nd bedroom layout since you can crash onto your bed the instant you walk into your room. And when you’re working at your desk, you have sunlight from the window! I do have some minor reservations about the mirror being next to the window though. Rogue beams of light in your face, or maybe even some privacy issues. But it does offer better lighting when using the mirror though. Overall, I love your planning and thanks for sharing!

That is what I liked about it too!! To put you at ease.... I ended up taking my free standing mirror out of my bedroom and in a common area because I didn’t have a good place for it. Now I have a mirror mounted to the back of my bedroom door. Such a good steal from Target — it was only $7!

How come you swapped the compass and orientation?
2
u/123autumnleaves Minimalist Jul 22 '20
I did it in terms of what I thought the room orientation is and not cardinal directions because it felt more natural to me, but I still wanted to add it as a little flourish because I thought it was cute 😊

My BA is on ID back back on the days before CAD. I had to draft everything so this bought back a lot of memories. This is very clever.

I’m afraid I’m totally stealing this - I’m getting my sisters ottoman bed and it’s much bigger than my old bed frame so I will need to some serious furniture rearranging n the next few days .

I’m trying to plan out ikea furniture and moving details and this page idea actually made me excited to do that. Absolutely love!

My roommate's moving out next week, and I'll be moving from the upstairs suite down to the ground level suite, and this is PERFECT for trying to actually solidify all the plans in my head. Thank you, this is so lovely.

Cute idea! I like the cardinal directions — could help you figure out where to put houseplants, or do some feng shui. ;)

I was thinking that too!! Just didn’t really put into practice 😬

i don’t know why i’m so invested in this but in the bottom bedroom spread it would have been really cool if you switched the placing of the desk and the storage cabinet/mirror; having your desk face a windo would have been really good for productivity

Actually the reason why I didn’t do that is because the window sill is a lot shorter than my desk so I find it kinda awkward
I did end up doing something different with my mirror and storage cabinet though!

I know youre not asking but, I've always been a fan of having my bed touch a corner. Feels more comfortable to me

It definitely makes my bed feel a lot bigger. I had my bed in a corner at the last apt I lived in and when I moved here I couldn’t believe how much smaller my bed looked!! I think it’s because if you have a wall on one side, you can put more stuff there without it falling off

I love this. It makes me think of my grandpa. A few years ago he gave me an old briefcase of his that still had a few odds and ends in it, including an envelope full of bits of paper. The paper scraps were all labeled and perfectly to scale. It took a little bit to figure out what the “AMWA” was, but got it eventually 💛😂

I'm work for a eater damage mitigation company and we do sketches of all the rooms affected in order to calculate the amount of possible humidity in each room. And volume of. Space needed to dry. You putting your measurements on the outside of the walls triggers me. Should be on the inside lol.
