Brain Dump
Does anyone have a better name for the concept of Brain Dump? I really like jotting down everything I have going on, but I don’t like labeling my page “brain dump.” Anybody have any other fun, creative names for this?

I had a coworker whose native language was not English and he couldn’t remember the term “brainstorm” and instead called it an “Idea Tornado” and now we all call it that.

As a huge Harry Potter nerd who’s had several HP spreads in previous BuJos and is planning on having a few in this one too — I love this so much and I am definitely stealing it!! Thank you stranger (even though I’m not OP) :)
Edit: autocorrect

I like mind sweep or mind unwind. I have also labeled pages 'drain bump' in the past.

I hate it as well -- I usually call it "Notes & Ideas" or something similar

I get that…whenever I watch a cooking video and the person says they’re making a “dump cake” or even “dump everything into the bowl,” I lose my appetite. Maybe Brain Escape? Random Ideas? Stuff I’m Thinking About?

In our house, we use the phrase "letting your brain off leash." So I guess it would be the off-leash park?

Unravelings. You could even use the concept of balls of yarn with loose threads with connecting or developing ideas (if you wanted to use an artistic theme).

I don't use one but I'd also probably want to call it something different! I'd maybe go for Miscellaneous Thoughts or Thoughts & Things

I never really understood what the point is, so I decided that what is known as Brain Dump in BuJo world, is probably what Ryder Carroll calls Rapid Logging, where you catch everything to sort later. But I’d love to know how people actually use it..

I use Parking Lot - I first heard it from teaching workshops where if people start going on a tangent you write it in the Parking Lot and we get to it when we can

I think Ryder Carroll calls it a "Mental Inventory" in the Bullet Journal Method Book. I've always liked that phrasing.

I do "Penny Thoughts" like the phrase "a penny for your thoughts". It's a place where I just empty my brain of anything I want to, important things to remember or just stupid nonsense. If I have actually important things I will also put it in a different space as well, with more detail if I want. But yeah, Penny Thoughts works really well for me.
