Minimalist Wanted to share my super simple weekly layout
I sometimes like to get fancy with my monthly layouts but I've never been one to overcomplicate my weeklies. I've used this layout for years, it takes 2 minutes to set up, and I love the flexibility it gives me.
I used to keep a budget/spending tracker on the right column, but recently felt like it wasn't very useful for me to track on paper so now it is just a column for general to-do's or goals for the week, important reminders and such.
The left side has a small corner for my habit tracker, and the rest of the page is intentionally left blank. I often have very vivid dreams and I like to write them down when I can. It's fun going back and reading all the random dreams I have throughout the year. So I like to keep that space open for my dream diary, as well as for when I have notes or random thoughts/projects that I am working on that week. (for example, I will probably be using a portion of that space to plan out thanksgiving dinner next week)
It was hard in the beginning to find a layout that works for me, but now I always find myself going back to some variation of this one. Just wanted to share! 🙂

I like it! It's a bit more functional than mine currently (I structured it around my work usage), so I may steal it and adapt it to my own use.

Very nice. I think my brain would prefer these pages the other way around. Calendar on the left of the spread and space to write on the right. I like the simple tracker too. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting, I actually never thought to switch them around!
I think because I don't use the left side every day, sometimes it stays blank for a bit if I don't have much going on, or sometimes I just don't remember my dreams. But then again, I am technically writing more (content-wise) on the left overall..
Maybe I will switch it up for the next week and see how I like it!

oh I've been looking for a design for the dates in my own bujo than im making for next years. my final layout is similar to yours (it looks a bit like hobonichi style too) and im struggling to think of a simple and pretty way to signal the days. i might just have to steal your idea. it looks pretty. I just dont know if the highlights are going to bleed since mine are juicy and the paper is thin 🤔

Ooooh I love this, and particularly the intentionally black page that you can use flexibly - nice way not to limit yourself or get locked in by a spread! Sometimes I have space left over in my fortnightly spread and tend to choose something to use it for, but the idea of just space for whatever is very freeing!

I like it! What is the left page used for? Do you do like a to-do list on there to use up the space?

Thank you! I use it as a dream diary (my dreams get pretty vivid sometimes, so I need a decent amount of space to write) or for notes/projects I'm working on! But I leave it blank, so I have the flexibility to use it for whatever I need that week.
For example, I didn't remember many of my dreams this week, but I used the space to plan out some of next years bujo. Or next week, I will probably use a portion of it to plan out Thanksgiving dinner.
I use the column on the right page for general to-dos/goals that aren't locked to a specific day.

This looks like the perfect simple layout. I am going do to something similar and simple with my weekly 2 page spread. Do you do dailies too? Or was that a past trial and error?

No, only weeklies! I feel like the space is enough for me to write down my tasks each day (I write somewhat small, and let's be honest, I'm not that busy lol), and most of the time, I don't have tasks locked down to a specific day so dailies felt unnecessary for me. If I did need more space for something, then I would just use the blank side.
