Nah dogs realize that we show teeth when happy, conclude that they should as well, and do their darn tootin best and it ends up looking extremely silly, which makes us smile and that's mission accomplished!

Yep literally. I had a dog that did this and it was a little unnerving even for us at times. He was a rather large breed so a lot of people got a bit freaked out thanks to that.

Body language is how to discern between a threatening and a happy set of teeth. Here we can see the eyes are soft, hairs are flat along the back and the snout is not wrinkled up. I'd also bet money the tail is wagging here.

She's so smiley.

My dog Hudson used to do this. Absolutely freaked out the mail lady. Bearing teeth but wiggly and submissive as can be aside from that.

my brain saw the end of the stool leg as her right eye and i was so confused 😭
