I've heard a lot about New Leaf being the better Animal Crossing game, but I'm inclined to disagree, as someone who even started out with New Leaf, believe it or not! I think every game has a nice charm to it, but fundamentally, the games to me feel about the exact same with a couple of new things being added or removed with each new game. Nothing really major. My personal favorite(s) might be the OG AC, City Folk, and Wild World. Though, this is super, duper hard to choose because they still sorta feel the same, but with different graphics and island styles, haha. But I hold a special place in my heart for those specifically, even as someone who didn't grow up with those games at all.

I really like seeing folks still post about New Horizons like it's in its golden age, and I find that extremely wholesome. I was sorta sad to see a lot of hate regarding New Horizons once Nintendo stopped actively supporting and updating the game! I'm just happy it still holds a special place in people's hearts, despite its shortcomings. I love how folks are still finding fun in a game that many consider "dead". It just brings me so much joy.

Frustrated with the flowers overcrowding my trees so I tried surrounding the trees with paths. I want to know for sure if it looks good or not though before continuing 😅

Hi all

My kids (6 and 9) love Stardew Valley. I've been eyeing AC for quite some time, and now we have it on sale.

But I have mixed feelings, as I'm not sure if it will fit us.

First, there's the real time aspect of it. My kids have limited time with screens, often during the week they can't play at all. I don't know how that will impact or break the game immersion.

Then, we only have one switch. How exactly will they be able to play "together"? Is it possible to each have their own island and visit each other? (I understand this can not be done simultaneously)

Any other tips or insights are much appreciated!
