General Question Taskbar with folder that shows contents?

Is it possible, like the days of old, to pin a folder to the taskbar at the bottom, that when you click, a little list of the contents appears then you can select an item from within the folder to open? I am sure this used to be a feature in windows in the olden days.. I am happy to use a 3rd party app to achieve this if there is one! I am trying to minimize desktop space for some games I have

I have file explorer on the task bar. When I right click on it, there are several folders pinned, so that if I click on them they open that particular folder in file explorer. I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

I don't recall pinning them and I can't see a way to pin other folders. The pinned folders are the top 13 folders I've put on Quick Access, so maybe pinning the folders to Quick Access and moving them toward the top of the Quick Access list will do it, if that works for you.

Hi I think that's just recent folders that appear, I am trying to make a custom one. I could do quick access I suppose, never been a fan of the windows start menu tbh lol. Thanks

Sounds like Start11 can do what you want.
