Whetstone of some sort?

Not a whetstone, but the polishing compound you’d put on a strop after you sharpen on a whetstone.

It's polishing compound for making blades super sharp. You put it on a piece of leather then strop the knife until the edge is a mirror finish.

Hot take: it’s a polishing compound that is used to make metal nice and shiny looking. Oh it may smell like pickles, just like almost all green things do.

Looks like polishing compound that you put on a polishing wheel for things like wood polishing etc, I have them in my wood shop.

Polishing compound to get the tools razor sharp, or a giant green hulk bar

If it came with your wood, carving kit, is it some kind of sharpening stone?

It's for the final step in sharpening your tools, polishing compound as mentioned elsewhere. In woodworking it's critical to keep your hands tools sharp, you'll often need to re-sharpen them every few hours of use.

Yellowcake. You didn't happen to buy your woodcarving kit from the Middle East, did you? LOL

Yes it’s what everyone is saying, polishing compound probably for the wood carving tools.

It is green stropping/polishing compound. You apply it to a leather belt and “wipe” the cutting edge across it to hone the edge.

Pure, unprocessed Green. Before they put green on the grass in the morning (also leaves, pine needles and other naturally green things) the green gets delivered in blocks like this. They mix small shavings in with other compounds and chemicals and sometimes other raw colors to produce the shade and texture they want applied.

More than likely polish. If it's very hard like a rock, it's probably a whetstone.

Looks like plumbers blue dye for checking for leaks or if you have drainage issues.

Knife strop compound is like a crayon that you rub on a strop to keep an edge on your knife. At least that’s what it looks like to me. If you heat it up it should act exactly like a crayon when they get hot. Like a cheap wax

It looks like polishing compound.
