Have you been checked for apnea? If you’re oxygen deprived during the sleep then that can cause tiredness

No i havent but im pretty sure thats not it. My watch says i have good oxygen saturation so i trust that blindlyxD

We’re in the same boat. Due to my back lying down (front or back) for extended periods of time isn’t comfortable. Sleeping on the side is even worse. Doesn’t help I’m a light sleeper too so on nights I really need sleep, I put in ear plugs and try to sleep earlier. I already take magnesium but avoid melatonin supplements as much as I can

What app is that? Is that for the Apple Watch? I sleep with a lot of pain and I’m regularly having to turn in the night. I’ve always been interested in seeing how bad my night’s sleep actually are.

How good are Apple Watches now days? When I had one a few years ago it would die every day so sleeping with it was simply not an option?

I have the series 8 bought new and I just charge it before I go to bed, put it on right before I fall asleep and it lasts until the next night.

What do all the lines in your graph mean? At the red lines where it’s calculated you are on the chart each hour?

u/Tenchi2020 15h ago
Red lines are heart rate, green lines awake light blue lines is light sleep and and the Deep Purple is deep sleep, when the pain is enough that it wakes me up it also spikes my heart rate

Find a better bed? I got a new bed 5 years ago and my back pain went away. Now it’s back full force.
Also, have you tried steroid shots? Life changing. Pain went away. Months of no pain. It was amazing. I could move again. They last 3-4 months. I have a spine issue that is degrading a disc. This pulls my spine out of alignment and makes one half of my back uber tight and the other half just kinda sits there and does nothing.

I have to use RSO in order to sleep through my intense nighttime pain. Might want to check it out, even if you have to drive to a legal state for it.

So, here's what sucks, the accident that left me this way also cause TBI. This led to me geeking out when ever I use THC.

The liquor puts me down for a solid 4, then I'm up every 30 trying to get comfy again. My doc says that 4 hours of sleep paralysis is making the rest of the night worse though.

I don't even have any issues and I get less sleep than that. Damn.

This is my better night of sleep, I slept five hours because of exhaustion. I'm usually get between two hours and four hours of sleep at night

This has been how I sleep since my auto accident left me with extreme chronic pain due to massive trauma in 2007, in 2024 I had 10 days of sleep that my watch classified as great sleep

I've tried everything from melatonin to NyQuil sleep aid. I also have a non-narcotic painkiller that will make me fall asleep but the side effect is really bad dreams and I'm also prescribed opioids, 7.5 mg quick release but, this sleep right here is with one and a half milligram Xanax which is why I had deep sleep right at the beginning (the dark purple). I try to switch it up regularly so my body doesn't get adjusted to the sedatives.

Yea melatonin didn't do shit for me and I'm not trying to take any drugs.
I did try a herbal shop once where the lady who own the place grew some plants that she made tea with. It helped me stay asleep but it gave me bad diarrhea. Can't for the life of me remember what the plant was called. I also did some routines of staying up for long periods of time. Getting little sleep when I only needed little sleep, staying up for long periods and then using a schedule to exhaust myself when I needed the long sleep.
Was told it was unhealthy but I would sleep for twice as long somtimes and would sleep super hard.

If it makes you feel better, my sleep also looks like that, and I don't have chronic pain. Sleep is just elusive. Sorry about your pain.
