I personally think of Clover as a boy in my mind. But I still use they/them pronouns for them because that's what everybody ELSE does and it's habit.

Also I like that clover just casually escapes the wild east through the fence (the last frame) I’d do that too if I was kidnapped and had to play along with a cowboy role player lol.
