I guess it's time I came out clean.

Brief introduction, I got invited 2 weeks ago after moderating the Discord for some time. I am still getting used to talking here, so please give me some time. c:

Let's just say it wasn't great back then, as the queue was filled with stuff. I did try to review 2 months' worth of reports, but as you can see, I didn't come remotely close to finishing.

After bringing up the issues to my fellow mods, there are two new rules now. English Only (I didn't expect to see so many foreign alphabet flags) and No Low-Effort Posting (Insanity is over bois). Also because of these rule changes, (I think) AutoMod decides to nuke every post that got flagged and wasn't approved/removed. Feel free to ModMail or link your post below so that I can overturn stuff if needed (or just simply repost).

Rule 2 recently got a lot tighter as well. Just don't mention that topic ever, please.

Hey Reddit! Just an announcement from me that the editors of the Undertale Yellow Wiki on Fandom decided to move to wiki.gg. The new wiki is on undertaleyellow.wiki.gg! It should have way fewer ads and load faster than the Fandom wiki.

This means that the old wiki will likely fall out of date, and content that was missing will probably remain missing, so if you'd like to see the updated content you should probably switch to using the new wiki! The reasons why we decided this are explained in our community vote on the matter (unless Fandom removes it), but basically, Fandom as a platform has become worse in terms of ads and editorial control over the past few years, and we think it would be better for the community if we moved away from them.

In this move, we need your help! I would like to ask you all to link to the new wiki instead of the old wiki from now on, so that Google becomes aware that the new wiki is used. We're going to be far below Fandom in search results during the next few months, but installing the Wiki.gg Redirect or Indie Wiki Buddy extensions for your browser should point you towards the new wiki (they currently don't, but I hope they will be in the near future - Wiki.gg Redirect has an open pull request and the Indie Wiki Buddy's pull request got merged edit: they do now! Since January 30).

If you have any feedback on the wiki's new look and function (which I tried to make as close as possible to the old one's, but without the annoying details), or anything regarding its content, we now have a Discord server for wiki-related discussions. (Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by linking it here.)

Lastly, some people asked me whether the Undertale and Deltarune wikis are going to do the same. I don't have anything definitive to say on the matter, but we are keeping it in mind. The biggest issue right now is the lack of anyone's time to deal with the migration, and that we won't benefit more by moving earlier (since there is not much new content to add on either wiki, Google will just consider our content as duplicate).

I had to take a massive break from it since I was participating in a Metroid hacking contest, (big mistake) but now I'm back on track and nothing will stop me!

A few people who are involved in UTY fanfiction may have noticed that the UTY fanfic library as been deleted.

For people confused, you cannot search UTY fanfics on AO3, so someone made a collection(aka a library) that contains all of them.

As for what happened, the person maintaining it was apart of a server known as the UTYH(Undertale Yellow Hub), which recently changed leadership and adopted a purist stance - anyone with fics they do not like will get banned, reading/bookmarking/kudo'ing said fics will also get banned.

The maintainer had one Explicit fic and was banned, with close friends(friends for about 6 months) calling them a "Bug" and sending death threats... all over a piece of internet writing.

The maintainer deleted the collection due to this.

Unconfirmed, but apparently the maintainer is still in the fandom in a server called "Grey Space"(Apparently a place which dosen't do what the UTYH did), and may create a new(but way smaller in size) collection centered around it.

-Maintainer was not banned, but rather left the server.
-They where banned a few hours after that, as the server changed ownership, apparently the old owner did not want to deal with the stress of running a server.
