This is a such a crap PR campaign. This has been out for at least a year or two...if they really wanted to help wildlife, they should be just putting the 6 cans in a thin cardboard box, and donating the savings from their stupid edible rings to a marine research/sanctuary non profit....

I think it's a secret campaign by our shadow turtle government to wipe out the seagulls without any more collateral damage.

Seagulls suck, how can I help the turts?

Shoot the gulls (don't this us illegal because one of the kinds of gulls is endangers but almost visually identical to the regular ones.)

I don't care if they go extinct but the law does.

You're already enthralled by the turtle, my friend. So just keep your blinders on, and don't notice it's turtles all the way down.

My wife works at the World Wildlife Fund, and if I understand her correctly, your post does a pretty good job of approximating their world-view.

I see the good that could come from this but what about the kind of pavlovian response to eating soda can rings for turtles or other marine life have? Is there an article about their concerns or the actual impact it might have?

Dunno why you're getting downvotes, this seems like a terrible idea.
