Should probably take some acting classes…

79

u/Romulus3799 Oct 07 '24

It doesn't need to be acted well. It's funny enough already, and it's clearly not trying to pass as anything but staged

26

u/Kerfluffle2x4 Oct 07 '24

Exactly. Still chuckled. Mission accomplished.

Plus, isn’t it a GOOD thing when it turns out no one was harmed in the filming?

u/Romulus3799 Oct 07 '24

I think people on Reddit just like to feel smart by calling out when someone is staged. On any skit like this, the top comment will always be one like this that ignores the content and just somehow calls out that the skit is, in fact, a skit.

u/Substantial_Flow_850 Oct 07 '24

I thought it was clearly a joke

u/_Lost_The_Game Nov 12 '24

Bro chill it’s not that serious

u/Temeos23 13d ago

Staged videos and skit videos are not the same, you know?

1

u/eatmybutt294 28d ago

Nah pay attention, my guy. His nose is very clearly broken fuckless.

This got debunked by another guy on Tik Tok that did a shit ton of math to prove it wasn't real, then finished it by saying "Besides, there's already 'blood' on your face before the ball even hits you" and shows a freeze frame of it.

u/SwissMargiela Oct 06 '24

People go way too hard trying to debunk videos that aren’t even trying to be authentic.

When you go to all these creators pages you can easily see they’re all doing skits

16

u/SmartieCereal Oct 06 '24

That was the joke, he spent a bunch of time doing all kinds of fancy math, then at the end he got the same result by just hitting the pause button and pointing out something obvious. I don't think anyone out there thought this was real.

-6

u/356885422356 Oct 06 '24

What don't you think is real?

6

u/SmartieCereal Oct 06 '24

Everything after the bowling ball leaves the screen when he pushes it.

-5

u/356885422356 Oct 06 '24

In which one?

15

u/PrudentCarter Oct 06 '24

It's the weird need to point out what's fake. Never understood that shit

7

u/smurb15 Oct 06 '24

Remember in school when you are about to tell your friends something cool and kid commando comes along and ruins it before you get a chance to tell them then brags how smart they are?

Most I can make of it or they got the shit kicked out and it's their way of getting back

1

u/Temeos23 13d ago

A lot of times is needed. There's plenty of fake shit that people fall for it. But in skit videos is really stupid pointing out that's fake lol

1

u/ulisaaao Oct 22 '24

The creator that debunked him does this type of content as a joke

-21

u/PeggyHillFan Oct 06 '24

Like Captain disiluional or whatever his name is. Also he posts videos way beyond the original video he’s trying to debunk went viral when it’s old news. I hated him. So annoying

35

u/HerkulezRokkafeller Oct 06 '24

That and his face would have completely caved in. No one is taking that amount of force and not getting knocked out, if not dying..

14

u/maxxx_orbison Oct 06 '24

Wouldn't the amount of force be slightly less the strength of his push?

13

u/goiterburg Oct 06 '24

Why'd you get downvoted? Yes, but that's a lot of force( f=ma. Idk my physics are rusty, but maybe it would be better to view the returning ball in terms of momentum. Whatever distance he pushed the ball past where gravity would have taken it, it will return to almost that symmetrical point. Which is probably more than a foot past his head. The ball's inelastic so the impulse to the skull is going to be pretty severe. The unrealistic part to me is the head goes through the wall without severe injury. If I had to guess, I'd say if it were real he might make a divot in the wall but his face would have been fractured pretty bad and bye teeth

1

u/Ok_Star_4136 Oct 06 '24

Nah, I strongly doubt they'd even attempt to fake it using a real bowling ball, because that'd still be hella risky. I'm going to guess that the bowling ball on return is fake and the camera is stopped, hole is made, and camera starts rolling with bowling ball there and his head through the wall.

5

u/Ok_Star_4136 Oct 06 '24

Yes, but it would be happening all at once on his face, and depending on the surface area of the struck area, the force would be entirely applied there as well, meaning if it hit his nose, slightly less than the strength of his push would be applied on his nose all at once.

It wouldn't cave in a person's head, but it could easily break a nose, yes.

1

u/Randalf_the_Black Oct 07 '24

Yes, but concentrated on the point of impact and the surface is hard so the only thing yielding would be your face.

You can break a tooth with a surprisingly low amount of force, just applied on a point.

1

u/CaspitalSnow Oct 06 '24

that depends on the material his head is resting on. if it were a brick wall- absolutely. if it were styrofoam boards like here then his face gets lucky

9

u/idk-any-usernames- Oct 06 '24

That was a lot of effort for them to go through just to say they don’t know what a skit is.

1

u/miraculum_one Oct 06 '24

turns out it doesn't take a shit ton of math to debunk it anyway

2

u/bales912 Oct 06 '24

You mean the fake walls and fake drywall wasn’t a dead give away it was faked?

1

u/Roberto-75 Oct 06 '24

He pushed the ball, therefore it had more impulse and hit him. If he just had let go, like in video 1, all had been fine

28

u/Chaetomius Oct 06 '24

the timing and the speed of his head weren't great.

But the "god damnit pain face and sound" were good

14

u/Wizards_Reddit Oct 06 '24

Everyone in the comments saying that it got debunked but like was it even 'bunked' to begin with? I feel like it's probably just a sketch and not actually even meant to be believed, like he'd be dead if it was real

19

u/bl3u_r3dd1teur Oct 06 '24

I can’t believe people think the second part is real.

11

u/Dimatrix Oct 06 '24

People today would watch Charlie Chaplin and say “that didn’t actually happen!”

3

u/bl3u_r3dd1teur Oct 06 '24

Charlie Chaplin? Maybe. Buster Keaton? Hell naw.

1

u/Ok-disaster2022 Oct 06 '24

Hinestly the enjoyable part is to see this and to know it's not real.

Physics wise that push would have needed to be strong enough to force his head through a wall in order for the ball to have the energy to do the same when it returned.

5

u/BeerInbelly Oct 06 '24

This dude is from the grandma's house clip/skit show so yes this is a skit and not real, which should be obvious anyway.

3

u/Shayzis Oct 06 '24

Was I even supposed, at one point, to think this is real and not simply a joke?

4

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '24

No, the problem is the people that think this was meticulously edited to be real when it’s obv a funny skit.

2

u/JumpingPoodles Oct 13 '24

A person creates a skit.

The internet: IT’S FAKE!!! IT’S NOT REAL!! LET ME REPEAT THE SAME THING A BILLION TIMES ON EVERY COMMENT SECTION SO YOU CAN BEHOLD MY INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT A SKIT IS!

1

u/miraculum_one Oct 06 '24

Not Newton's first law

1

u/Andrew777Vasilenko Oct 06 '24

This guy was obviously inattentively watching a video from a teacher.

1

u/hammer8763 Oct 07 '24

I'm laughing way too hard...

1

u/bill_n_opus Oct 14 '24

That's almost really irresponsible to do a skit like that because some copycat might try it for real. Almost.

1

u/Comfortable-Box9291 Oct 16 '24

nice so dude intentionally hurts himself just for some short lived internet attention while pretending like he didn’t know exactly what he was doing since the beginning.

1

u/T_Crs7 Nov 06 '24

Stupid American

1

u/LamarjbYT 24d ago

For a comedy video? smh

1

u/moarbaconnow Nov 11 '24

Didn't even hit him in the face, should have though

1

u/scottfarris Oct 06 '24

Darwin's 1st law.

0

u/moisdefinate Oct 06 '24

Perfect execution 🤣

0

u/Plastic-Succotash-63 Oct 07 '24

But it looks like he pushed the ball

0

u/killertimewaster8934 Oct 07 '24

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough

0

u/JunketThese1490 Oct 07 '24

Wait.. ooo whatt??.. haha

0

u/Fledramon410 Oct 07 '24

If the second part is real, that guy would be unconscious.

0

u/Ill_Call_9535 Oct 07 '24

bro was prolly seeking for the 1st law but got the 2nd law instead

-2

u/pobox01983 Oct 06 '24

wtf. Yiu just have to drop it , no force. This guy pushes it. It would definitely hit him.

-2

u/Roberto-75 Oct 06 '24

Don‘t Push, you idiot!

-4

u/EPIC_NERD_HYPE Oct 06 '24

Newton’s Law + Darwinism = This
