That's a common trick used when realtors(?) stage homes for selling... so I highly doubt it's an AirBNB unless it's on a property for sale and they left the staging up for an open house.

I'm thinking that but paired with an AirBnb scam. The house is for sale and the scammer gets the lock code for the house for a 'viewing'. They then rent the house out for AirBnb and give the guests the code to get in. It sometimes pops up in r/Scams when something goes wrong with the house and the guest suddenly can't reach the 'property owner'

That would be odd behavior, because usually you don't sell the beds with the house. The bed leaves with the current house owners and you bring your own bed in.
