About how much did you initially invest? Have you always taken an interest in stocks or did it just come by way of fluke?
always wanted to dive in but get scared. Too many variables to properly plan. And I don’t trust local advisors because they are typically guys I graduated with and I know too much about them to let them know more about me.

So back then, for a long time I had huge hunger for money I understood that not everyone want's to admit how big money role is in our lives. For me it's a sign of success and power. I decided that I'm ready to change myself for money. I always wanted to start my own business or something that would make me money but don't have enough experience for that. When the first lockdown happened I had too much free time and didn't want to waste it, so randomly I found cryptocurrencies. I found a broker app and decided to invest 500€. All was going well and I invested another 500€. But with the lack of experience and knowledge I missed biggest chances that i had back then to make x7 - x8 of my initial 1000€. Lockdown was over I came back to work and on free time continued to learn about investing. So somehow I managed to get it to 3000€ and then greed kicked in but the bullrun was over and in a few months all that was left was 300€. Got mad and left it there, but couldn't stop thinking about how easy in general with enough experience and knowledge it is to make money even in for example investing. So I saved another 1200€, took those 300€ that were left from crypto and inested 1500€ into stock market with some experience of investing. It's not much in general, but it is not small sum for someone like myself. Now I continue to read, watch videos and collect informaton about the ways how can you make money and become rich.

To be honest I came here to read people's experiences to get inspiration for myself. I have been struggling a lot with getting a decently paid job. I've been in financial services for years now doing various things from project analysis to coaching, but I've never been able to break through to the next salary level.
It probably has a lot to do with my lack of formal education. But I'm interested in hearing from other folks who did make it.
