I feel like this is a guy after a woman who prefers other women. What a creep, regardless of the type of person he's into.

Yeah the "man hatred" phrase gives signals that he trying to hold on to the "I can change her" mentality. Ick.

Assuming she knows who this person is, would this be grounds for a restraining order?

u/SledgeLaud 1d ago
Sadly, probably not. He makes no threats, and there's no direct implication of violent intent.

He doesn't have to make a threat. She will be threatened by his presence alone. He was probably the reason she moved away. There's definitely ground for a restraining order.

While I agree with everything you've just said, in practice victims of stalking have a hard time getting help before someone gets hurt.

There’d be a Lodi in my pants if I was the one to find that note

Note reads like a scene from a cheesey horror stalker film. And why so many copies?

I ran out of time and money
It looks like they took my friend
Oh lord, I’m stuck in Lodi again

Library can probably identify what computer this was printed from and cross reference which patron was using it for the police

People are too serious. That letter is fake
5
u/SledgeLaud 1d ago
What makes you think that?

u/BlinkyDesu 1d ago
I'd assume printing multiple copies and leaving some behind. If the content was true, they'd need one copy.

u/SledgeLaud 1d ago
I get you, to me it seemed like he knew her rough location rather than her exact address/apartment number so he'd need multiples to cover his bases. That or it's a first draft. Stalkers tend to be more persistent than they are intelligent.
