Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs (1991) is based on real life mid-century murderer and body-snatcher Ed Gein. Norman Bates from Psycho (1960), Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), and Dr. Oliver Thredson on American Horror Story: Asylum (2012) were also based on this killer.

The Tiger Tank seen in Fury (2014) isn’t CGI, it’s a real, working Tiger I provided by the Bovington Tank Museum.

https://ew.com/article/2016/04/24/fifth-element-prince-ruby-rhod-luc-besson/ The role of Ruby Rhod in The Fifth Element was specifically written for Prince. When it didn't work out, they cast Chris Tucker instead and the legend was born!

The opening sequence to Scott Pilgrim vs The World was an idea by Quintin Terintino

My favorite film Redline (2009), was in production for seven years, and utilized over 100,000 hand-drawn frames.

Sean Bean is terrified of flying in helicopters. So while the rest of the cast flew to the top of the Misty Mountains in Fellowship of the Ring, Bean would get up early and hike it. In full costume including armor.

Bonus fact: his real name is Shaun. He changed his stage name to Sean Bean just to mess with people.
