I am totally fine with this type of thing. A video with evidence about problematic people within the scene is a great way to explain this and it’s depressing that there are dancers fine with this. Though I do not agree with banning all Russian dancers but those who are fine with this type of unnecessary war being waged on a country. There are dancers who have come out against the war and even tried helping Ukraine.

That’s horrible. Yes. I agree. They really should be banned from international events.

Please let us all know if someone is keeping a list because silence speaks volumes and their videos should not be watched, their Instagrams should not be followed, etc.

Thank you for posting; I had no idea, but we should know about people like that.

By inviting an instructor publicly endorsing wars against any country, I believe, one is making a step towards creating a hostile environment for attendees. I happen to be Ukrainian, so immediately affected by this one specifically, but I any war endorsements in general strike me as divisive and hostile. I would have to question the values of event organisers in order to understand if hostility were intentional, expecting that it probably were not.

I am not ready to agree with the video as far as boycotting all Russian dancers goes. To me personally this is not about nationality, it is about public endorsements of violence that threatens lives of my family and most people I know. So I see a world of a difference between (possibly non-Russian) war endorsers and Russians who actively and unambiguously state their anti-war views, organise fundraisers for humanitarian aid and things like that.

P.S. This is just my view at what is right for me. I understand that the community might not share this view.

Russian brain drain (STEM) helps Ukraine, and should be encouraged.

Banning people for what what their country does is getting out of hand. These are Lindy Hoppers, not paragon's of virtue. Lindy Hopper are just regular folks not some great souls they are only as good as the average shmack on the streets. You are expecting too much from them. Of course some of them are going to support their country, thats what average citizens do. Do we really have to call out people like this and ban them?

The only moral requirement for a Lindy Hopper is you don't be a God damm creep.

No? It's their choice to publicly speak support this war. At least they could keep silent. And you don't "call people out" for those who chose to show their war support. Supporting a fucking aggression war is so much worse than creep.

PS: I'm against banning all Russian dancers as the video suggests at the end, that stupid, but those who show they support for that war.. yes.
