Feedback Needed Any swing in KY area

Hi all,

I am a student based in DC and I’ve had to privilege to swing dance at Mobtown, New Columbia, and Glen Echo. I am going back home to KY for winter break and I am currently if there are swing venues in the state or nearby.

Thanks!

You might find more dancing in Cincinnati if you want to take a drive

Have you found DC to have a good swing community? I thought there was some Lindy Hop but not much else there. Has this been your experience?

New Columbia Swing is the most friendly scene I’ve been to. Mobtown Ballroom has amazing live music nights and events, however I noticed they are very hard into Lindy while NCS and Glen Echo offer dances like Balboa, etc. Glen echo has a nice atmosphere , I should note it’s a much older crowd.

New Columbia swing is a great place to dance in DC! In addition to Lindy Hop, I see a lot of Balboa and the Shags

If you're able to make the drive up to Cincinnati, CincyHop is hosting a NYE dance (https://www.facebook.com/events/744581924551237/?) and we have a weekly Thursday night lesson/social dance (swingallery.org).
