Most strawmen are born out of ignorance.

u/bstone99 Oct 27 '24
In this case it’s more typical conservative bullshit, just spouting easily disproven nonsense without spending the 10 seconds to google whether it’s true or not.

Ignorance gets flexed pretty hard when there’s an agenda one benefits from involved. The disinformation campaigns working or even middle class conservatives imbibe on is an indictment on how permissive to fascism American culture has been for so long

You telling me I didn’t need to shove subway footlongs into my jacket sleeves?

Burgers can go in your bra, and give you a bigger bust at the same time.

I'm trying to picture how you get a hot dog in a socialist economy. You like... Pay for it. With money. At the stadium... Right?
Also can we talk about who paid for the stadium? Now that's something to get worked up about.

He opens the song complaining about man made famine and shutting down the factories
Remember four years ago when there was a man made virus and all the factories were shut down? That was you guys. That was the left 100%. Every person who opposed it was called far right.
The lad’s cooked I’m afraid. Also most of his comments are negative karma, he might be farming.

It's like speed running old video games just to see if you can: a borderline useless skill but it does allow you bragging rights.
And this is coming from somebody whose only knowledge and skills are also borderline useless.

Poor guy outside pushing his cart out in the free market, trying to outdo the socialism taking place inside the stadium! /s

u/Aronosfky Oct 27 '24
I always find it hilarious. "It is actually socialism when proceeds to describe something happening very much in our capitalist society"
25
u/inkoDe Oct 27 '24
In the USA, 'socialism' is functionally equivalent to 'cooties' in grade school. I can't get mad about shit that could be rectified with a dictionary, anymore. Nor do I debate the merits of socialism with a person that defines it as everything they are against. I am not even a socialist, just some guy that is over what passes as political discourse in this country.

The hot dog vendor that has no employees extracting wealth from his private property is the capitalist... right.
I had a friend that said laborers are capitalists because their labor counts as private property. 🤡

The delusions that people have are astounding…until I remember that there is literally no education infrastructure for anyone to know anything about these things and that this entire country is largely politically educated by memes.

Due to industry consolidation both hot dog vendors are owned by a single corporate entity. You buy a hot dog and get Listeria because the hot dog company buys all it's meat from a large corporate slaughterhouse. You complain that food safety regulations are government overreach. At the hospital you receive a 20k bill for treatment and you have to take a second job selling hotdogs to pay your medical debt. You complain about how much tax is deducted from your paycheque.

I’d love for someone to make a copypasta of Stalin’s Anarchism or Socialism, the part about the Tiflis shoemaker, but it’s about a hot dog vendor😂

Socialism is when checks notes billionaires own the media and brainwash people into loving socialism. Jfc, what an idiot.

u/felipeabdalav Oct 28 '24
own a team, own a stadium, own a % of a tv network, to sale to the perfection that happiness lies in watching a game with a beer and a hotdog and the family while using merchandising I sold to you (made in China) = socialism

u/ADeliciousDespot Oct 29 '24
Does this guy also think restaurants are socialist micro-states? Does he think he's entitled to bring his own food into restaurants?

u/BeholdOurMachines Oct 30 '24
I love how smug these douches are when they "explain" the differences between capitalism and socialism in the most objectively incorrect way possible.

Well if you don’t like it, build your own stadium and compete in the marketplace of ideas

u/Sir_Pumpernickle Nov 05 '24
I love how this dunce couldn't identify textbook artificial scarcity and regional monopolies, just blame socialism because "Markets existed in the ether of time, and man kind ruined them buy participating". bro, all markets are regulated, we made this shit up.

Socialism is when workers own the means of production. Capitalism is when the rich owner class own the means of production. There’s no “in between” or a “cross”

True capitalism has never been tried.
Capitalism only works in theory
Capitalism is great on paper but human nature prevents it from working

Socialism is when private corporations create monopolies for the sole intention of maximizing profit. Got it.
