Looking for a fun, story-based, romp...
Hello all!
I adore games that have strong points of views, story, and generally on the shorter side (35 hours max for an open world game)
Some games I quite enjoy: INSIDE, Little Nightmares, Cocoon - puzzle games with vague story and pure VIBES
GRIS and NEVA - Beautiful beautiful platformers
Firewatch - incredible story. Sort of walking-simulator-y
STRAY - Puzzle/platformer where you play as a cat in a walled city filled with robots
Undertale - heartfelt RPG with multiple endings, almost a meme at this point. Music ROCKS
NeonWhite - A speed-run based FPS with a visual novel tacked on. GREAT movement!
Twelve Minutes - A timeloop mystery game
BRAID - The original indie darling
FEZ - incredible art and music, mystery-filled puzzle/platformer
Cult of the Lamb - cute and violent rogue-like + community sim
Literally anything from "SuperGiant Games"
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Senua's Saga- The first one is technicallyy an Indie, gorgeous dive into a woman's broken mind. Play with headphones.
Celeste - Incredible platformer
Stardew Valley - This game is CRACK, it's a farm sim
Crypt of the Necrodancer - A rhythm based rogue-like
Oxenfree - a 2D mystery on an island
Control, Alan Wake 2 - Amazing stories and world
I also have (but have not played) SOMA, Exit8, 1000xResist
Some big games I enjoy - Horizon series, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3
Not a fan of metroidvania, generally

I don't see on your list, and would recommend:
What Remains of Edith Finch
Signalis
Disco Elysium
Conscript
Immortality
Outer Wilds
Citizen Sleeper
1000x Resist
The Forgotten City

I didn’t see Disco Elysium on that list so you’re actually forced to do that next
