Stray Dog

This poor guy has been hanging out in front of Legacy Oaks care facility (1922 Morse ave. Sacramento CA 95825) since yesterday. Some of the residents have been putting out food for him. He is weary of people but has been seen trying to get into sedan type cars that pull up to the facility. I think he was abandoned and is hanging around waiting for his owner 😭. I tried to secure him to bring him to Bradshaw but I unfortunately didn’t have any luck. Putting this out in hopes that someone else is able to help get him out of the cold and rain.

Sac county has been called but who knows if/when they will be able to get him.

I hope he’s reunited with his owner or has a rescue take him in

Update - 12/27/24 @ 12:30pm

The dog is still hanging around Legacy Oaks. He seems to be less weary of males and he seems to like dogs. Some people at the facility go him to come inside last night to let him sleep on one of the couches in the lobby. Any help to get this guy secured would be appreciated!

Aww why can't he just live there? He seems pretty chill and people like him
