Hi, I'm a student in Cyber Investigation and since it's one of the last places i can post about deepfakes i'll ask it here. I'm making my seemester work about deepfakes and i'm looking into the means to detect them past visual analysis. What can we do when deepfakes will become impossible to detect visually?

I have experienced that Liae(udt) gives better results than df(udt) however people from the community says otherwise am I doing something wrong with df models??
When I say better quality I mean that it does a really great job of mimicking the facial expression of dst (Eye, eyes open lowered shut. eyeball facing, mouth, mouth expression, smile and stuff in general) with the src face.
However, df seems to lack that, (it kind of does real like facial expression the kind of the src person would do making it seems real, however it doesn't copy (mimic) the facial features of dst using src person).
So, In conclusion what I have experienced in the past 1 and a half year of deepfaking (with pretrain models from deepfakesvfx, and with the model i made) Is that df do have facial expression that the src person might do however it lacks in copying the expression of dst video face making it seem close to the dst face expression however not quite exactly alike, while liae might make facial expression unrealistic (in terms of the src person actually having that set of emotions) while it does a great job of putting on kind of fake emotions of dst on src face in a deepfake making it look like the src is actually the real person from the deepfake video.
Now again this is me sharing my experience and I am not much experienced and that's why I asked this question.
P.S liae seems to work on almost all faceset with not good quality and angle and lighting pics, however df seems to be too picky with the src faceset.
