He finally . . . passes the buck.
Let it be on Trump!

I think Congresswoman Gabbard and all those vets showing up there this weekend must have made him realize he better do something about the situation before it got any further out of hand. And it's a good thing he did too, because I don't think those cops there wouldn't have hesitated about beating on Gabbard or any of the veterans who were going there over the weekend.

All the Veterans, Gabbard and politicians who have spoke out in support for the Standing Rock Sioux and some sort of justice have made a tremendous difference. We need to keep the vigil. Listen and learn from Bernie and the Standing Rock Sioux as to how to stand strong for civil rights, constitutional rights, rights enacted by law.

I wasn't at all trying to discredit the work all the other folks have been there had done. I was attempting to point out that this may have been nothing more than a cynical political move by the POTUS to save his own reputation. Becuase it would look pretty bad in the press and on national television that a bunch of peacefully protesting veterans are getting the crap kicked out of them by a bunch of cops on a power trip. But if Trump decides to give the permits back to Energy Transfer Partners to continue with the pipeline it makes him looks bad. At the end of the day, the Standing Sioux tribe were likely used as political pawns because I doubt Obama did this out of the goodness of his heart, because if he really gave a damn about the situation this would have been resolved months ago.

I agree. 'I doubt Obama did this out of the goodness of his heart, because if he really gave a damn about the situation this would have been resolved months ago'. Imo, it's a crime that it has taken so long. Much remains to be seen as the next episode unravels. We must remain vigilant and know that the fracksters, banksters and fossil fuel barons will fight back with all their might. 'Keep it in the ground'.

Finally, thank you Tulsi and all the Veterans that showed up to force the media to cover it!

Jordan Chariton of TYT deserves so much credit for the way he covered this. Seems like he and Amy Goodman of Democracy Now were the only journalists covering this national disgrace.
