Call For Action Palestine has the right to defend itself

We should popularize this phrase the way the zionists say it about Israel. I feel like it speaks to the root of the problem, the ongoing colonization for the past 75 years. Going to start saying it and putting it everywhere✊🏼🇵🇸❤️

Yes, it always seemed very lopsided with the constant 'Isreal needs to defend itself' but Palestinians are not allowed to defend themselves.. 🤷‍♀️

Palestine has the right to defend itself

Yes.

And, Palestine has the right to oppose colonial oppression, and ethnic cleansing under ethics, human rights law and UN charter.

No one. No one in the world has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the humanity of their oppressors.

100% and we have the fact to back it up.. Israel don't have the right to defend itself and we also have the fact for that.

More accurately, Israel doesn't have the right to defend itself against the Palestinians, since Israel are the occupying entity, they have a duty of care to the occupied nation.

Israel can defend itself against anyone it's not currently occupying. At least that's my understanding of international law (im not a lawyer).

"Right" is obviously nebulous and subjective. They have the right in that it would be legal under international law for them to defend their borders with force against a hostile state. Whether it's moral or just is another thing altogether. Although, israel does break the law all the time. The settlements, demolitions, war crimes, collective punishment, land theft, most of it is against either international or even Israeli law. They just do it anyway.

Not even joking, I saw a zionist say “From the river to the sea, that’s the colours you’re going to see” (blue & white) Like bruh bfrl, they copy our slogans and acts like it’s theirs.

The phrase from the river to the sea was originally from the Likud charter I believe, so they technically do own that one.

It’s actually useful to bring up too, when they claim it’s genocidal, it was as always they who started it.

“The phrase from the river to the sea was originally from the Likud charter I believe, so they technically do own that one.”

Oh frl.. I didn’t know that damn. But if anything, Palestine has every right to claim that slogan and reuse it ❤️🙏

The phrase originated from the PLO in 1969, calling for a single secular, democratic state for Arabs and Jews.

Likud's original party platform in 1977 used this phrase: "Between the sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."

By international law we are doing almost everything legally and they are not. But the problem is they created the laws and don’t abide by them. How else can American wave their hand and Israel gets away with tens of thousands of illegal murders

From the river to the sea. 🇵🇸

Israel has one of the most technologically advanced and well financed armies in the world and Palestinian only has local resistance to defend themselves. If you were in their situation, you would want to protect your people too.

Palestine has the right to return, full land back occupation. Full dissolution of the Zionist Israel entity. Full sovereignty of Palestine and return of all displaced Palestinians

Saw a Lebanese journalist (cannot remember rn but please link video if anyone knows who I’m talking about) say something to the effect of “I don’t condemn Hamas anymore than I would condemn a slave for killing his master”  and that’s pretty much it.

Was it Rania Khalek from BreakThrough News?

u/EcstaticCabbage Sep 16 '24

I believe it was!!

So does Gaza and the Palestinians, they’ve been attacked since 1948. If the the Palestinians try to protect their homes in Gaza or the west bank, they risk being shot. The isreal zionists are the aggressors, always have been, if Palestinians fight back, they call it Terrorism, the zionists are the real Terrorists.

Palestine has the right to live in peace, security and prosperity. Palestine has the right to defend itself from the tyranny of the colonizer who has been occupying its country. FREE FREE FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸

u/ayhabthearab Sep 16 '24

Israel does not have a right to exist or even deserve to. It does not have a right to “defend” its self as it is an occupying entity. But quoting bassam yousef “Israel does have a right to go f itself”

u/Fast-Pea3758 Sep 15 '24

I had the same mindset when I used the Palestinian flag frame on my Facebook (and IG) profile picture: If Zionists can use the Israeli flag on their profile picture, I can use the Palestinian flag on mine.

u/nin10dudu Sep 15 '24

It really can’t be one sided as it has been, these civilians have no means of escaping this while Israeli civilians are taught hate from a young age and given guns by their government. I hope the worst for Israel and that their government is cast into the deepest pit of hell when they get their justice served.

  1. Palestine has the right to exist and exists.
  2. Palestine has the right to defend itself within its territory.
  3. Israel has no right to defend itself outside its territories and has no right to illegally land grab the part of Palestine that they didnt finish stealing.

2

u/soliejordan Sep 16 '24

One cannot be a terrorist to an occupying force. The Israeli argument is completely foolish.

1

u/Mei_Flower1996 Sep 15 '24

This has been pretty big for some time now, dw.

1

u/oussama1st Sep 15 '24

yes indeed it has every right to defend it self since it is occupied according to international law

1

u/Jolly_Insurance7755 Sep 16 '24

I’ve been saying this👏

u/TheFortnutter Sep 15 '24

No, neither Palestine nor Israel’s are functioning body’s or singular organisms that can defend themselves. People defend themselves. It doesn’t make sense to generalize a whole struggle as a country va country
