Been trying to put Venom (2018) on my PSP but nothing has worked, any ideas?

I've made it the right resolution, codecs, and even aspect ratio, but every single time it just tells me "Corrupted Data". Is there a hidden file size limit of some kind or is there something else I'm missing?

It's hard to say without knowing the specific parameters you used, but it's probably some minor detail you'll kick yourself over when you find it.

Some video conversation tools have PSP-specific profiles that make it easy. Handbrake had one, the last time I checked. You might also need to update your PSP's firmware, since earlier versions were more restricted in the formats and resolutions they could play.

I tried Handbrake, it has PlayStation options, but only for as low as PS Vita and PS3, no PSP option. I should probably also mention that my PSP has a bad battery and has to live on a charger, making it so I'm unable to update the system. The newest game I had for it was Resistance: Retribution, so it's a firmware from 2008.

Resistance Retribution ships with 5.03 on the UMD - h.264 support was added in 5.0 so you should be good to go with any guide you find that targets the PSP. The post below seems popular and the comments feature a link with a PSP profile you can import into Handbrake. Good luck.
