So I’ll be coming out with video soon for my YT channel on why every ps5 owner needs a stand if they plan on going vertical. Everyone keeps saying the stand blocks the vents at the bottom of the device. That’s 100% not true. There is a channel that allows hot air to escape out of the back of the device. At the bottom of the ps5 is the power supply, which gives off a lot of heat. Setting your ps5 on a flat surface without a stand effectively traps the heat that needs to escape the bottom of the device.

I will be doing actual thermal imaging of this.
