Discussion Is global ‘dead’?

As a ex-global player making the switch back in the second jp anniversary I can proudly say I have never looked back. So for the people that didn’t switch how do you feel about ‘lucy’ as he is like salt dipped in the wound that the shit neko sugo created and the free legend on jp is like shot to the heart. So as global players or ex-global players what do you think?

Mfw this thread keeps popping up in countless Gatcha reddits

This isn't a attack on you but for someone that's mainly a Jp player you sure like to keep up with global for some reason, I'm genuinely curious as to why? As you said you've never looked back but you must have in order to know that the neko sugo was "shite".

I've seen this countless times in the dokkan subreddit, and as everyone keeps saying: These games don't die and will never die(Unless you're HunterXHunter ayyy :( ). It doesn't matter if Jp is great because it's not like "Lucy" isn't going to eventually come to global. And people on global will still pull for him even if the rates are fucking atrocious as apparent with neko because they want him.

Remeber when Akainu was announced for Global and everyone went fucking crazy because he was/is the best unit in the game and tried to pull for him even though it wasn't all gold or rate-boosted(? it's been awhile so I'm not sure about the last part)

So no, Lucy isn't "Salt dipped in a wound" Nor is the free legend. Because it'll come to Global. It may not be in a weeks time or a month but it'll come. and when it comes there'll be something else to complain about, like it probably not being G4 and being someone else who knows.

In the end it just comes down to this.

Do you want to play JP and be in the VIP area and get the timed exclusives? Great! play it and enjoy your stay.

Do you want to wait an indefinite time to get the timed exclusives that will very likely come out? You can read up on what units/raids/colos do before they appear and be able to understand what each ability/mode does in your respective language? Good, Global is probably for you so enjoy your stay.

Or do you not care and just want to waste time? Well

/rant i guess.

I think this is another "hey look at me, been playing in japan for a while and it's great, oh btw how are you all feeling about the disaster over there? pls discuss" shitpost that adds more fuel we don't need right now.

Not as dead as this thread

Its not dead. Its stagnant. Japan just gets better but Global remains the same. So it seems like Global is getting worse but its just the other side doing better.

But I wont say its "dead".

No i won't say Global remains same. Why do ppl classify global in terms of sugo pull rates i know its bad but why do u forget all the other things global had gotten. We had 50 stamina coloseum much earlier, we even got new Fn every 1 week now that JPN hadn't even gotten them, we got neo raids back again before JPN, we got new Law before JPN, we got plvl overstamina much earlier, we are getting 1 month of meat snails, we got invasion cavendish much earlier. With just one post of that guy about sugo pull rates ppl are raging like hell saying global is getting worse. Don't forget all the good things it has bcoz of just 1 fault.

Youre playing a gacha though. The biggest part of the gacha is the pulling aspect. Of course people will get into an uproar when that part is the unsatisfying part

A lot of the earlier updates still also have the same problem. Theres no updated skill rates, so you're looking at the same farm, same grind, but now its early.

You're also forgetting that Global does get late on stuff. They're not always early.

Ok i agree with that part

True but skillups once in every 2 weeks makes things more comfortable only bad part is that maxing invasions can be headache

You're also forgetting that Global does get late on stuff. They're not always early.

Not all contents previously global got late with colosseum update but with introduction of 50 stamina it got its pace back same for FN as 1 week every new fn , we got kimono fn a bit late but its a balance b/w all contents some we got faster some we got slower

I hate jp because it's way to much and way to fast. I have 9 very good legends there but can't be bothered to play it. It's different for everyone. Pulled two legends this week on global, farming some Colo , new raid. Pretty happy right now

I can agree with some of the other posts, Global isn't "Dead" per se, just in a different playing field. I guess a good comparison is like college basketball vs the NBA. If you don't want the NBA (or any national sport at that level), the sport you watch is entertaining enough. It gives you all you need, bit when you get a glimpse of the other side, that's when you realize how vastly different the two can be at times. It's the same for the game. I play Global from a Global perspective. The JP and GLB versions are very similar, but still very different. I understand where people are coming from about terrible rates (skill up, Sugo, even drops on islands), but it's a gatcha game and it's very similar to a gamble whenever you play. You won't go up to a casino and ask "What are the odds", you'll play and take your chances. To those complaining about terrible Sugo rates, I'll be honest and say "it is what it is." I'm a P2P player and I can speak from experience, there isn't a single Sugo that's not deemed a "trap." Just like anything, you either get lucky, or you don't. I've done multiple pulls during 2x legend sugos and gotten nothing. I've done singles during a "5x the chance" sugos and gotten reds. I've had Multis where it's been a silverfest, and Multis with multiple reds. I don't complain because i view the game from a one sided perspective. I may get downvoted and I don't care but you can't compare Global to JP. Two different versions of the same game, and when you stop looking at all the "great things" that JP has and appreciate the good that GLB has, you'll be content. And before anyone asks, yes, I am all for better skill rates and guaranteed legend after multis, but if you do a multi with a guaranteed red and get a dupe, then you'll complain about "Bamco always gives dupes whenever I pull a Legend." I've pulled 4 Corazon, 3 SW Shanks, 3 Crocs, and 2 WBs so I know the pain of pulling Dupes.

TL:DR - It is what it is. Gambling is gambling, and you either take the chances and be content, or don't play and don't complain. Lol

Thanks, but the real MVPs are the ones that keep this Reddit afloat and going. Without them, we'd be nothing but cabin boy's on this treasure cruise.

no idea what are you talking about.. we are gonna get Lucy anyway in the not so distant future, so of all the things we can envy to Japan players, that ain't one of them. the free legend stings of course, but that I can just say it's because of the difference in age between the global version and the Japan one.. the lack of improved skillup rates, guaranteed legend and socket island, on the other hand, it's inexcusable.

I wouldn't call it "dead" yet. We still have 20th Anniversary and 3rd Anniversary waiting for us. Though 20th is taking a bit too long. Wouldn't be surprised if they combined both for a bigger event.

u/AsaAkainu Promising Rookie Sep 23 '17

Im an ex global player and honestly i have never been happier on japan every event just makes you want to play more and more and you want to see what else they bring out, sugofest wise the all gold 1st multi is the best thing ever i barely get fake golds and the chances of reds are so high im on 15/7 Legends/multis.

I'd rather have a constant rush of content forcing you to choose priorities than very distant minor events that only appear every so often, leaving the game "boring" until they drop

-1

u/Yonbi96 Sep 23 '17

Jp is only running too fast. It comes near to the end they are only making money but global is the future.

-3

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '17

Global threads here have gotten fewer and fewer votes/comments in the last several months while jpn has been increasing. Then again maybe it's just because jpn gets all the new and exciting events/content.

3

u/Sokkathelastbender Sep 23 '17

Yeah i think its just cause on global everything is already known from jp so only the people who dont follow japan news are the ones to talk about it

I noticed that global threads have been coming out slower and slower. For example log kids thread came out almost and hour after he was out.
