Big News One Piece is coming (back) to Denmark with the anime actual/finally beeing dubbed in Danish
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DA8ikw9sPfM/?igsh=MmVhNWYyaTM2azZxThis is pretty big news especially in Denmark since they stopped translating the manga around 2015. And with anime and manga still being relatively niche compared to other countries
Also side note next week they’re gonna release dubbed episodes of dragon ball super

I haven’t kept up with the recents dubs, but I remember when I was younger and getting introduced to Naruto and Dragon ball trough the Danish dub, so hopefully this will bring more fans with the first being my nieces and nephew

IMO, the best outcome would be Carlsen to re-publish the manga in danish and start translating again from where they left it.
I would have linked to Internet Archive where a danish member has uploaded all the danish dubs of Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Tokey MewMew etc., but the servers are down at the moment. Ill come back to it if I dont forget :)But with the project it seems a bit off to me.. The anime is around 25 years old, is extremely bad paced and the 30 first seasons covers about 1/4th of the content the live action adaption went through AND Netflix are releasing the anime remake in a year or two... I really like the idea that DR are making One Piece accessible to all danish kids, but I might fear that the timing with this part of "one piece media" is off..
Hope Im wrong tho.1

They do pretty well with the pokemon dub and some of the other "toy" shows like beyblade and bakugan

I’m intrigued what did they do in the first Danish dub that made you feel this way?

How does Denmark translate Luffy's name?
I always find it funny in German and Italian he's Ruffy.

In the manga it was translated as Ruffy as well and Zoro was Zorro

as a Danish person i feel that this is just unnecessary since more or less every Danish person speaks English, and the taget audience of One Piece in Denmark speaks English guaranteed.
