Zoro owns Sandai Kitetsu (3rd hand of the devil), found Nidai Kitetsu in Wano (2nd hand, although that didnt go anywhere shockingly), and this one os confirmed to be Shodai Kitetsu, the first hand, and the most powerful, a sword in the same hierarchy as Yoru (Mihawk), Ace (Roger), Murakumogiri (WB), Gryphoon (Shanks), and both Oden Swords iirc.

It's cool because this is an incredibly old theory coming true, because the hilt of the 3 Kitetsus are very similar.

In this chapter though the hilt is straight up gone. It looks more like Fujitora's sword. Does it maybe transform?

Probably just an error that'll be corrected in the volume release. The guard on the Kitetsu blades is pretty iconic for it to just disappear like that.

Or it's just Oda consistency shenanigans - the size of the blade and the entire scabbard completely changed from it's original appearance afterall, he probably just thought it looked cooler like this with the skeleton aesthetic.
