Looks like they cut him in three. Doubt it'll stick though given we've seen Garcia regen an entire arm.

Worms are pretty famous about regrowing parts of their bodies after being cut in half.

In dune, they can only be killed in three ways:

  1. You apply high voltage shock to each segment of the worm simultaneously.

  2. Atomic weapons.

  3. Drowning.

I feel like we'll see a lot of the Gorosei being sliced up and torn apart and just shrugging it off. They all definitely have insane regeneration powers.

lol. that is a theory. That the Gorsei are actually satellites of Imu. I'm like on the fence about the theory but it would also be cool because it would show that Imu has technically been in the show since towards the beginning.

Yep they cut Luffy out after he got swallowed. Pretty sure next chapter he'll immediately regenerate, along with Mars who flew headfirst into the labophase barrier.

It looked like it to me. I just love the fact that amidst all the tension and the overspilling haki everywhere, Luffy's finally reunited with the big folks.

I think you forgot that the gorosei have regenerative powers that make them effectively immortal
