Or Mother Flame. That's one of their mission objectives.

They know Imu liked the mother flame and they want to be in the goods books of their ruler.

I'm subbed to the theory that Mother Flame is a dragon created by Vegapunk (like the ones on Punk Hazard) to power up the flying ship Uranus.

I don’t think we go Fire Force with the source of the Mother Flame. I also don’t think VP would settle with essentially enslaving a dragon to make this work. His work as a scientist is to find a universal solution that applies to lots of islands, like his home, that makes them more survivable/tolerable. He also appears to value consent of his patients when we saw the Kuma flashback, he tries to maintain his ethics and morals when pressed by the Elders.

The main reason I like the dragon theory is that it also completes the "ancient weapons" theory that each one requires a creature to operate. Poseidon has the Sea Kings, Pluton has Zunesha, and Uranus could very well have dragons. The reason it hasn't been used until now is they literally went extinct (until Vegapunk made more).

on pure logic of the universe - powerful devil fruits are the most long-standing, wide-reaching (sometimes), and flexible sources of kinetic energy known to the world. just Ace's fruit is infinite, unlimited heat source (he doesn't have fire powers, he IS fire), and then remember Kaidou's and even Momonosuke's feats. yes maybe they do a shit ton of food, but not that much compared to their feats.

Oh and considering they seem to be capable of Awakening, that's another layer of usefulness. It seems Luffy's DF can literally awaken the spirit of sleeping materials, such as ancient robots. Perhaps it's a Going Merry situation.

It’s crazy how Saturn was just fucking around and yapping this whole arc, then the rest come and get to business. No fucking time wasted with the rest of the gorosei

Saint Mars is definitely in the Labophase. The explosion looks to be on the inside of the barrier. Luffy passed through the barrier twice and he was ok, Bonney was also sent through it and was in decent shape. Since Mars most likely has the same regeneration power as Saturn he will be fine.

I wonder who will hold him off. Could be a combined effort from the rest of the crew.

I would love for this to be the time for the crew to shine. What better way than to defend against a Gorosei.

Aren't only Zoro and Jinbe still up in the Labophase right now with the rest of the Straw Hats, Bonney, Kuma, and the Vegapunks all down in the Fabriophose? Meaning that it's now IMMEDIATELY going to fall to Zoro and Jinbe to start stalling Marcus.

Which is fascinating, since it means that Zoro is going to be up there stalling Marcus and nowhere even close to Ethan Baron, a case of Oda defying expectations for sure.

My guess is he destroys it all with little pushback. Gets the Mother Flame and they all realize the message is being broadcasted from another location.

Definitely Sanji and the others!

It's been said before, but I think what makes the gorosei such god villains is how smart and practical they act.

Saturn, Jupiter, and Warcury vs. Luffy, Dorry, and Brogy

Zoro and Jinbe vs. V. Nusjuro

Sanji, Nami, Brook, Usopp, and Chopper vs. Mars

Mercury wasn't MIA, he literally did not move, you can see him in the background when saturn attacked Luffy.

Maybe going after Bonney?

If I recall correctly, Warcury's representation is a "dream eater"? I could be wrong, but I could of sworn one of the 5 elders was mirrored off of a beast that screwed around with peoples dreams.... which I always thought was interesting since One Piece is heavily involved in "making dreams come true" to be a real nightmare.

According to the TCB translation Warcury is "The Hoki", and as for the rest, Saturn is "The Gyuki", Marcus Mars is "The Itsumade", Nasujuro is "The Bakotsu" and Ju Peter is "The Sand Wyrm", and it's curious how their introduction boxes don't say they have devil fruits, just that they are these monsters
